It’s been about 5 years since I was here at jalapenos. Last time I was here the food was not good at all. I left very disappointed. Yesterday I was invited with a group of people and the food was definitely much better but still just very average. It was encouraging, could it just been the dish I had? Everybody else seemed to really enjoy their meal. I will come back more often and rotate through some different dishes. I did think it was very cool that they had a magician walking around on Sunday!

I had the Carne Asada, definitely not on par with Mexican restaurants I’ve been to in CA, and Washington… I was seated in bar area, no music, one tv on Olympics… only background sound was waterfall. Yes an indoor water display… some music in bar area would be nice.
I must include my stop in men’s room, the urinal had no running water… nasty!

The atmosphere here was so nice ,beautifully decorated inside. The food was so hot and fresh the portions are huge ! You definitely get your moneys worth !

Great spot in town for some Tex Mex. They allow dogs on the patio area. Which is mostly covered. They have a fish tank and waterfall inside with some fun tropical themes. The food and service was well worth the price.

Food was fantastic! Service forgot to give me extra tortillas and was a little slow with other things but overall great experience! I feel they were busy so I don’t hold a grudge. Would recommend. Amazing huckleberry fried ice cream and coronarita!

Service was terrible food wasn’t much better. The 60.00 price was not worth it. Who charges for chips and salsa! I will stick with Mexican restaurant in Ponderay. I picked up the food and it was cold, this after they pack the bag with the heavy stuff on top in only one bag. Needless to say it spilled all over my truck. Will say they replaced the food, but I was left with Mexican food all over my car. They did not offer to have it cleaned. All this and the food was awful. All I could tast was Oregano.

We decided to come here to check it out. It was a Friday night as was quite busy. Walking in you are greeted by the host right away. She was very nice and seated us promptly.
We were greeted by our server relatively quickly even though he had the bar area as well.
We ordered our drinks. Then the chips and salsa came out. The chips were decent and were warm when arriving at our table. They also give you two types of salsa, mild and hot.
The beers were nice and cold, martini was smooth and at a good price, and they made a mean pineapple mojito!
We all ordered and it didn’t take too long to get our food.
The tacos were great! BF ordered a taco and tamales. He enjoyed both. His dad and mother-in-law enjoyed their food too.
The food had great flavor.
Our server Patrick was great! We even met the owner, which was nice as well.
Everyone enjoyed their food as well as their time here. Will be back.

My expectations were exceeded visiting Jalapenos for lunch! The restaurant is very clean with nice decor. I only had the steak quesadilla, but it was delicious. The chips were fresh, and you have the option of either medium or hot salsa – both were really good, but I preferred the flavors of the medium. Service was top notch. Recommended!
