I had a big lunch here. The setting is beautiful and relaxing, the service is great. The guacamole was the best I’ve ever had, it literally blew my mind it was so good. This set the bar really high for the rest of my meal but the other dishes were not on the same level, although the tamales was good too. The Arrachera didn’t quite live up to my expectations. It just looked and tasted a bit boring and unimaginative. I think a place like this could add more creativity to the dish, more local flavours and textures, rather than just ketchup. Still 5 stars for me, just for the guacamole alone.

Roberto was my server and big smile when I walked in the curated space. I want to buy all the textiles too. I got special a chicken soup and a pork dish ….. both sooooo good I wish the chicken soup had more pollo ….. the pork was in a mole sauce to die for. Really outstanding and flavorful and no hidden chilis …. Roberto suggested the corn bread for desert and it was hot and Dee lish classy place I would love to try dinner here next time …

Ricardo and his wife made a special meal just for my group that involves flavors and tastes of Chiapas. It was amazing. We ate foods we’ve never had before like chayote root and finger limes. They served delicious cocktails and a good time was had by all. Ricardo makes the flavors come to life.

Great food, great service and fantastic atmosphere. Our waiter recommended us local dishes from Chiapas and San Cristobal, which alleviated our experience of being here and getting acquainted with the local cuisine. We even got a local drink Pox to try out. Would definitely come back here if I am in San Cristobal

This restaurant has a lot of promise but failed in execution. Great concept, menu, and atmosphere. Food poorly executed. It felt like the chef was new. Croquetas tasted like they had been fried in lukewarm oil or had been sitting out. No crisp at all to them – soggy, lukewarm, and mushy. Same with the chile relleno – soggy batter, made worse by covering it with salsa rather than just placing the chile on top of the sauce. Guacamole was good as was the pan de elote dessert. Homemade ice cream was supposed to be fig, but could not get any of that flavor – also, a bit grainy in texture. With a more experienced chef this would have been pleasantly memorable.
