Came in Sunday feb 15th at 5pm and service was not that good..I ordered a cheeseburger meal and my sister a grilled chicken meal but when we received it my sister couldn’t eat it..Too spicy..I guess they made a mistake and gave her a spicy one..Anyways went up to tell girl at counter that was wearing a mask.But she never offered to exchange it or anything so I had to buy her a cheeseburger..Then I wanted condiments (salt and pepper)as containers were empty..I told her to give me a handful so I can put some out there and she gave me the most strangest look..Like if I was stupid or something..Later she told me that she wasn’t gonna allow a customer to put pepper on the container..Ok but no one still has filled them I told her..I just didn’t like the customer service here..There’s no greeting in fact we waited a while so she could get off her phone so she could address us at counter when we first arrived..Im not gonna return..Thank goodness we have plenty of burger spots to choose from in san marcos

Yesterday morning Jan 13th was my first time trying P. Terry’s Burger Stand in San Marcos and it was great! The egg burger was delicious. The employee absolutely amazing whom recommended the spicy bacon and egg sandwich, and it did not disappoint. The woman was super friendly even gave me a free sausage and egg burger to try. The dining area was very clean and the service was fast. Definitely will be back to try the double cheeseburger

Nice concept, but the service leaves much to be desired. Tables were dirty and the drink machine was out of ice. They got our order wrong, which wasn’t complicated, only asked for no pickles and a double cheese burger. The taste for comparison is the McDouble at McDonald’s for reference. Prices were great

The young man at the register did his best to help us but he was the only one on register AND shakes. We waited an additional 15 minutes for our shakes & had to ask for them. Lots of people standing around in the kitchen—seems this location needs to train employees for more than one task.

The burgers are a little small,but very tasty and served hot and fresh. Everything comes like an old burger joint in the 50s.si the fries came in a wrap bag one size and were hot & wonderful. The price for 3 meals was only 20 something,unusual cos I thought oh know they didn’t get everything,but to my surprise it was the opposite. I received fast quick drive thru service.

Aug 2024, we visited Texas State University to deliver some requested dorm room items and took the college student to lunch at P. Terry’s Burger Stand in San Marcos. As the company is planning to open a new location near our residence, we were eager to try their offerings. Regrettably, our experience was underwhelming as the burger was ordinary, and the fries, despite being freshly cut, were not to our liking. Nevertheless, the service was prompt and courteous, and the ambiance had a malt shop feel. However, the cleanliness of the tables and floor left room for improvement. While we may consider giving them another chance when the new location opens, our initial impression was that P. Terry’s Burger Stand provided an average burger with below-average fries.

The food and service has always been good at this location. I usually get drive-through and I always get my food promptly. My go-to order is the crispy chicken sandwich (with no tomatoes), fries, and an Arnold Palmer for the drink.

I really enjoy the food here, fries are excellent some of the best I’ve had at fast food places but when I order the chicken burger I order it plain with no cheese I say “just the chicken and bun” yet 3 out of 5 times it comes with cheese. This never used to happen but has become more recurring recently past 3 or so months. I hope it’s corrected because I do enjoy the food.

First time trying P. Terry’s since they don’t have these restaurants where I live. The burger was pretty tasty and the fries were hot and fresh. Wasn’t a fan of the chocolate shake to be honest. It tasted heavy, like they used half a bottle of chocolate syrup to flavor the shake. The service was polite and prompt. Overall a good place to grab a bite if you’re hungry.
