My boyfriend always raves about this place when he stops into town.
My mom and I just came back from a trip thought we’d stop in and try it out before going back home to the “Hat”.
We sat ourselves, very clean place, easy to order. Just write on the sheet they place for you and you’re done.
We received our food less than 5 minutes and holy we weren’t disappointed.
The food was delicious, flavourful. Left the place nice and stuffed. 10/10 will be back.

Those who are expert Vietnamese cuisine eaters, and I like to consider myself one amongst this group, probably have a standard bar restaurant that they compare the food with that. Mine is Thien Vietnam in Saskatoon, SK Canada.
That being said, Pho Tanh Vietnamese Noodle House is high up in the chart. The food was delicious, not too oily and definitely fresh. I tried their number 30 and I think I will come back for it many, many times.

I dont know what is wrong with these people. They are super bitchy and ignore you.
They have a list of delectable sounding drinks but dont be fooled, they only have soda and coffee apparently. Its like they hate their customers? Idk but its very weird.
Also be careful with your bill. They will attempt to overcharge you. Make sure its accurate. I bet they do this often and get away with it and when people question it they just say oopsie it was a mistake .

Pho Thanh Vietnamese Noodle House is a simple and cozy restaurant where you can enjoy some delicious Pho Noodles. They have lots of choices on the menu. We ordered the (1) Thanh’s Special Beef Pho, (10) Pho Tai that comes with slices of rare beef, flank, tendon and tripe. The (15) Pho Sate also tasted delicious. Simply love the clear beef broth … very appetizing and everything tasted delicious!

Been coming here for years. This place has been in the neighborhood for a long time. The broth is clean and simple yet delicious. Toppings are sufficient. They are very fast with your order – you order and it arrives in a few minutes. Service is reasonable but you’ll have to wave the waiter/waitress down if you need something as they’ll leave you alone after taking your order and bringing the food.
May 2025 update – still very good and fast. The #10 they have is really good in both taste and portion. Pork salad rolls were great. They also have a very good chicken pho for those wanting something lighter.

Used to be good, not anymore, I haven’t ate here in 10+ years and decided to eat here again, and to also see if anything changed.
Pho was ok, not the best, same with the spring rolls.
Service is mediocre.
I remember why I never went back. There are better pho places out there.

Wish I would have taken pictures! I got the stir fry beef vermicelli bowl and the veggie salad rolls. The fish sauce was different than I’m used to, but I was pleasantly surprised how good it was! I liked it better than most fish sauces I’ve tried. The spring rolls were crispy and delicious.
The salad rolls were HUGE! There needs to be more peanut sauce served with them for how big they are! The peanut sauce was good but not the best I’ve had.
Overall the food was fresh, hot and flavourful. The service was quick and friendly! I would definitely eat here again.

Great Pho place.
BUT always DOUBLE CHECK the price before you pay, they add a dish or two (that you didn’t order) – I would understand that it could be a mistake, if it happened once and if the restaurant was busy. But, this happened multiple times and my recent visit was when the restaurant had 2 other tables.
My favourite Pho place in town, but they will put it an effort to charge you more.

A must-visit for pho lovers in Calgary. Having been here multiple times, the broth is consistently flavorful and authentic. It’s the perfect, satisfying stop when I’m driving by.

I love this place. It may not be the coolest restaurant in Calgary. But the food and staff and over vibe is legit. Simple, tasty food that comes out quick and hot. I have come here for years and nothing bad to say. Highly recommend, especially on a cold winter day. I recommend The Pho Thanh Special !!
