Ordered 3 pupusas de revueltas and a horchata. Drinks came promptly and the horchata tasted good. Took a while for us to get our food which I don’t mind, however when the food did arrive. As soon as I cut in my pupusas I knew it was undercooked. It was super runny. Took a bite and confirmed that it was in fact undercooked. Only ate 2 cause after cutting the 2nd pupusas open I saw it was undercooked also. Couldn’t stomach the 3rd one. The flavor was ok I had better pupusas, but that’s bad to be served food that took so long to come out only for it to be undercooked. The waiter was nice.

I came here with family it’s going to have to be a no for me. The people working there have zero interest in doing their job please teach them. It’s a hit or miss with the food. It really depends on what you want I’m just not willing to spend money on a place that doesn’t care how they treat customers. The waitress I had barely checked on the table when we asked her for stuff she ignored us. Why would I want to come back and spend my hard earned money here?

The best pupusas I’ve ever tasted! Reasonable prices and delicious dishes such as their breakfast, baleadas, and chicken-beef soup for these cold days I’ll come back soon!

What are pupusas? From the Nawat language meaning fluffy, these are masa dough cakes crossed between tamales and quesadillas filled with meat, beans, cheese, or vegetables, then griddled until golden brown and crisp. They are popular, especially in Salvadorian and Honduran cuisines. Located on East Linden Avenue in Linden, some of my colleagues placed an order for takeout at Los Barrilitos (little barrels) yesterday. Their online menu, primarily in Spanish with some English, consisted of a variety of breakfasts, appetizers, sandwiches, empanadas, dinner entrees, desserts, and specials of the day. As first-timers, it would have been great to have a picture of the meal on the menu to get an idea of what’s being offered. We decided on small chicken soup, maduros (sweet plantains), bean and cheese pupusa, rice, and pupusa special consisting of meat, bean, cheese, and loroco flowers. Upon arriving at this family-owned establishment by the Carbajal brothers, Marlo and Jose, parking could be a challenge depending on the time of day, as it’s small. The interior has an old-school vibe. We were welcomed by one of the staff, and our order was ready. The pupusas were pretty big in size, tasty with the right flavor, and not too greasy. They were traditionally accompanied by a vinegary cabbage, carrot, and onion salad called curtido. The salad is typically lightly fermented, kind of like sauerkraut. The price was economical for the amount ordered. Overall, we enjoyed our meal, as they are a popular, affordable meal perfect for a family feast but also quick enough for a snack, lunch, or dinner on the go, which we can recommend.

Pupusas!! To be honest is my favorite place to buy pupusas! Tamales de elotes are good too. The staff is really friendly. You can dine-in or call for takeout. The restaurant has a small parking lot.

One type of food I’ve never had. The pupusa were awesome. Fried chicken tacos and baleadas were also delicious. They come with a vinegar slaw and sauce. The pics were from takeout, so don’t do the food justice
