This place is excellent! From reading some of the recent reviews, it seems there may have been an understaffing issue at one point. If there was a problem, they’ve most definitely resolved it.
I went on February 8th 2026 and absolutely loved it. The service was efficient and exceptionally friendly. The ambience was casual and relaxing. My server Missy in particular was so nice and attentive without being overbearing, and the other staff I interacted with were also great.
Most importantly, the food was fantastic! The thai tea was rich and flavorful, the shrimp spring rolls tasted very fresh, and the pho was outstanding. From the broth to the noodles and meat, the toppings and the chili oil on the table – all top notch. And a big portion that was more than worth the price. My only complaint is that the peanut sauce with the spring rolls was a bit on the bland side.
I live nearly an hour away, but might be looking for excuses to come back to Springfield so I can have lunch here again.

If you’re looking for fresh, delicious Vietnamese food, you’ve got to try this place. The food is yummy and authentic. They are currently hiring a server, so patience may be required m but so far for us, everything has gone smoothly.
These images are of the new menu.
We just went again and I have included a photo of the chicken curry soup, served with vermicelli (or rice). And my husband pho.
I love the vermicelli and chicken. My husband got a beef, vegetables, and rice that was super good.

This is a great place to eat for dinner! I go there with my brother and mom often. The three of us always would get either rice or pho because it’s the one and only Vietnamese dishes we love. The service is very nice too because we always see the same guy to take our orders/serve us, so we’re for sure familiar with the service. The atmosphere is always very ambient, especially when not busy.

Skip this place and go to Hong Yen Vietnamese instead.
I went to Bamboo yesterday after not eating there for four years. The only reason I returned was because Hong Yen had been closed for construction. Unfortunately, nothing has changed.
Four years ago, the restaurant smelled like cigarettes and the food was bad. Yesterday was no different. The food was still awful. As an Asian person who has traveled to all 50 states and over 15 countries including many Asian countries, this was by far the worst egg roll I’ve ever had. It was mushy, which makes me believe it wasn’t fully cooked.
I ordered four egg rolls for a large party, and every single one was bad. I’ve been sick since yesterday and am experiencing what feels like food poisoning after eating here.
This place was not worth it four years ago, not worth it now, and honestly needs to be inspected by the county as soon as possible.
Save your money, your stomach, and your health. Go to Hong Yen Vietnamese instead.

I have eaten at this place since 2007 and the food has gone down hill. I was excited to get some spring rolls and pineapple chicken. The peanut sauce was watered down, and the pickled vegetables had mold on them. When I called the restaurant to fix the issue, I was told I couldn’t send the pictures I took. Well I suggested email, I was able to talk to the owner and get the email to send the photos, but while I was on the phone with him, he hung up on me. When I tried to call back they refused to answer the phone. However, before he hung up on me, He said he would refund my money because he knew where the mold came from, he said, ” I think I know where it came from, the pickled vegetables didnt have enough water in it and the vegetables must have touched the top where the mold was.” My question is, why is there mold in your pickled vegetables? If you pickled them the right way, there wouldn’t be any mold. Now I was potentially exposed to botulism, I had to throw away the whole meal. Also, I do not live in Springfield, I live 30 minutes away, so there is no way I am driving all the way back there to get different food, especially since there could be more issues with the food. So sad how the food has gone down hill. Used to be one of my favorite restaurants, this is the 3rd time the food was terrible, I will NOT be going back. I hope he refunds my money because it was almost 25 dollars for my meal.

This place is mine and my fiancé’s favorite place to eat in Springfield. We are regulars and the food and service is always TOP TIER!
The fresh spring rolls are the best I’ve ever had and R3 is my favorite dish. We will never stop coming here. I could literally eat it everyday. recommend!

What a disappointment. They were understaffed and overwhelmed by a handful of customers. There was only one waiter. He seemed nice but clearly stressed and frustrated. He would often disappear for long periods into the kitchen, presumably to help. He said they were having a “snafu” in the kitchen. I’m not sure what that means, but the food took almost an hour to arrive and they didn’t put any tofu in my dad’s tofu vegetable soup. The food was ok, but I definitely wouldn’t go back. It’s especially disappointing because this used to be one of our favorite places.

this place has truly gone downhill i. the last two years. last night i ordered delivery, two fried rice with bbq brisket. called the store to confirm the delivery. what i got were two orders of beef pho. when i called the restaurant, the lady said they only way she could help me is if i came and picked up the right order, mind you i wasn’t trying to leave hence me ordering delivery initially. I just said okay whatever, confirmed the proper order, and went to get it. Remake wasn’t ready after 15 minutes. when the food was finally ready they did give me a bunch of extra food to compensate for wasting my money and time. The rice i had ordered wasn’t bbq at all and the beef was mostly still raw in the rice. The rice had some hair in it as well. The boba smoothie were also nasty and lackluster. They also were not on the website and i had to call and order these separately to get them delivered. Why aren’t your drinks listed on the website???? Probably will start eating getting pho kim going forward. bambu has messed up a few times in a row now.

I had egg rolls which looked burned and old but were barely warm. The server took them back and I thought I was getting fresh ones but nothing arrived. Later he said I took half off the egg rolls. What!! The cabbage salad was good. The overwhelming smell of smoke was disgusting and my clothes smelled until I could get them in the wash. I will not return.
