I was there yesterday and absolutely loved macey she makes the best drinks and she’s sooooo fun to talk to. Definitely made the service a 10/10!!!! She’s a great bartender would give more stars if possible!! Definitely go and ask for macey at the bar if your looking for good drinks, good conversation and a great atmosphere!

Our 1st time here. We attended a retirement party at this spot and we were pleasantly surprised. The food was spot on. Check out the wings, they are super crispy, cooked to perfection and seasoned just right. Oh and the queso was top notch as well. Not sure what the full menu looks like, but if it is as good as what was catered for our occasion, you won’t be disappointed. And you’ll find the adult beverages very satisfying as well. Check venue for live music to top it all off.

06.13.2024 – we came back to this restaurant and it seems they have gotten much better! They had live music inside this time the volume was quite great, we were still able to talk to each other in our table ⭐ this time I ordered the hamburger steak and it is out of this world delicious!! With loaded mashed potatoes and very flavored pinto beans

Food was good. I went in while they were slow. Service could have been a little better. There were several tables waiting for a while to get menus, drinks and food. But other than that a nice little quiet diner/ bar and grill tucked away.

Let me start off by saying that I am upset at my self for not going sooner. We live on the Rowlett side of the the Bridge, still inside Rockwall county. Not that far, but a good 30 minute drive and being lazy and hungry we always went for the closer options.
Well, that will not be the case going forward. We went on a Friday night and the place was packed, but service was still great. There was a live band that was great too.
Okay, so when we pulled up the parking lot was packed and spilling into the back that was 60 vehicles deep. We thought we were going to have to wait for a while but, after the drive we were okay with that.
When we walked in we were greeted with a big smile and a welcome. The hostess let us know that there would be a little bit of a wait on food. We did not mind and we were Guided to our seats and prvided menus. Our server was at the table within 4 or 5 minutes and got our drink order. I got unsweet tea, my wife got water. The tea was amazing, strong and I had 5 glasses!
We ordered the fried pickles for our appetizer, they arrived in about 15 minutes. Not a long wait in my eyes! I was very happy to see they were LIGHTLY breaded. They had an amazing crunch and the ranch was so good. None of the pickels tasted greasy at all. For me, that is a huge plus! As we kept eating and got down to the bottom of the basket we noticed there was sitting oil down in the bottom. That was a bit of a surprise as none of them were greasy, accept the last few still sitting on the bottom. Another 10 seconds to drain would have been PERFECT, but with the kitchen being rushed and backed up, they wanted to make sure the wait was not too long so I respect that so I was not upset at all.
The menu offers so many different options, that it was a bit overwhelming to choose. When trying a new place my wife and I always end up getting something we both want, so we can share. That way we both get to try something at the new place!
I landed on the chicken fried steak. It comes with mashed potatoes, and beans. The steak was fantastic and moist. The crust was crispy and had tons of flavor. The gravy lacked a bit of salt, but thats totally okay to me because I tend to like more salt than most people. When it comes to salt and pepper, I like to be able to add my own.
My wife got the Bacon Cheeseburger, with sweet potato fries. OH MY GOSH!! The bun had to be potato bread or something because it was soft, sweet, and paired with that burger so well. The bacon was GOOD bacon, not that thin overcooked garbage most places serve and call it bacon. The burger was juicy and cooked to perfection. In fact, it was so good, that my wife would only offer me 2 bites HAHAHA. But man, those were some good bites. NOw, I am not a fan of sweet potato fries, and I only ate a couple. They are just not my thing, however my wife said they were amazing.
We truly enjoyed our whole experience from start to finish. The atmosphere is relaxed, friendly and everyone makes you feel like you are home when you are there.
If you are on the fence about trying this place, jump off and start running. The prices are VERTY reasonable, the service is amazing, everyone is friendly and the atmosphere is so inviting. I can see spending many of nights here in the future!

She really knows the menu inside and out—her recommendations were spot on and showed that she cares about making sure each guest has a great dining experience.

stopped by one afternoon because when I went to the fuel station that has a Taqueria inside, the lady running and cooking noticed me and I asked her how she was doing. She didn’t answer and then she stepped forward as if to take my order and I suffer from CHS I can’t hear shit so I politely said I’m sorry to say that again with my good ear turned towards her to intercept her kind words and return, but yet she just stared at me and then a man behind me was picking his order up, so I guess she called out to him never did speak a word to me or asked me if I was interested in their food so I walked out and came to the Sweetwater Grill The staff seem to be working well together and possibly family and the tallest female bartending asked me how she could help I ordered food told her about my experience down the street and I just don’t go to McDonald’s or anything else. I’d rather cook than eat trash but she asked me how my day was going today. Did I have plans anything going on exciting she showed interest read my order back to me. Brought me a double shot of tequila and so now I know where to go and if you don’t know now you know, unless you slow.

I want to like this place, I do. Been here numerous times. Food is always questionable but this time it was so bad, greasy, kids wouldn’t even eat the cheese dip or the grilled cheese, fries seemed nuked not fried. The chicken fried steak was pasty bread on it -blah, sides of mashed potatoes were so old and dry and refrigerated taste. Beans were greasy and so salty I am like how can you jack up a pot of red beans and serve them so grossly in a bowl rimmed with dry crusty bean layers around it. It has been like 3 times we have tried to eat here. Just terrible bar food, not a grill. I say go on down about 2 miles to Burgers and fries. Home cooking with the extra mile or two.

Have been coming here off and on for years and boy has it gone downhill. Service is downright awful unless you sit at the bar and even then some employees are too busy on their phones. Food quality hasn’t been the same in quite some time. The sewer stench is horrific and the restaurant is disgusting. Can’t believe they pass a health inspection and have stayed open this long. We enjoy most of the people working here and they’re the main reason we’ve continued coming in for so long. We want to support local but the owner needs to make many changes and be present at his business.
