Stopped in for some Strawberry Shortcake Ice cream sundae in a bucket. It was delicious. Got there right before 6 and they were packed. When we ordered she said it would be about 25 min but it was only like 10. We are definitely going back.

Went to The Root Beer Stand on Valentine’s Day for a promotion they were having for the bucket Sundae’s, and decided we would order food also, never again.
Ordered their version of a Big Boy and it was tasteless. Also ordered a spicy chicken sandwich and it tasted like something you would get from a gas station.
We also ordered fries, tater tots, 2 drinks and 2 bucket sundae’s.
It took an hour and a half to get the food out to us. The only items worth mentioning were the sundae’s, they were tasty, oh, and way overpriced for what we received. I won’t be back

My boyfriend and I have been wanting to try here the past week because we saw it on TikTok and it is right down the road from us. We drive there Monday, and it’s says closed. Turns out they are only open on weekends, which is fine. We went there the following Saturday, we are looking at the menu and the (very kind) server says it is Venmo/cash only. We don’t have cash so we just left. We finally come there again for the 3rd time Friday. It is a weekend, we have cash, i double checked and the online website said they were open. Finally ready to try something. I get there, closed. We are giving up on coming here

My girlfriend and I we’re craving chili cheese coneys. We stopped in for a couple, some onion rings and root beers. We got it to go and and drove home mouth watering in anticipation of that wondrous flavor of a hot dog smothered in chili and cheese. With onion and jalapeno peppers. Got home, took a bite and didn’t taste any chili. Tried another. There was a faint taste of chili in that one. Disassembled the chili dog to find maybe a tablespoon of chili on it. This was a footlong. My girlfriend had the regular sized one and what appeared to be maybe a teaspoon of chili on it. NOT cool. Such a disappointment

Came today, ordered a walking taco and beef hotdog and 2 drinks we were 5th order of the day. We waited over a hour and was told the grill got busy, however other people who ordered got bags of food and even one’s who came after us. We never did get our food. Waitress was very rude and snippy. I understand opening day operations but this was not acceptable you should have more staff and be a little more prepared. I did tell them we are leaving as in reality we are sure they forgot our order and didn’t want to admit it. I also had someone one the phone the entire time and they were shocked at her comments.
Do better I know I am one person and you probably don’t care but even if one person reads this maybe it will help them.
Sad we liked your place in the past, but don’t see us coming back anytime soon.

This is a burger!!! Hank’s cheeseburger is a hit!! Juicy and delicious. Fries crispy and classic! Lived here all my life. Drive past this place everyday. I work right around the corner but I never stop. They’ve gained a loyal customer! Good job everyone!

While visiting the Dayton Ohio area we stopped at the Root Beer Stande. I saw that it was the Retro Old Fashioned Curb Service and it was Hot Dogs and Root Beer what a wonderful Nostalgic foodie adventure.
We pulled in and the waitress was there “Toot-sweet”. I ordered 2 Hot Dogs with Chili, Mustard and Onions. They do not put Cole Slaw on the Dogs here I also ordered a large Root Beer, which I was hoping was HOMEMADE but not..Tony had his own Beverage of Choice in the car already.
The food was good! The Chili or sauce on the dog was very good but the onions were strong from being a little old maybe a day or so. But I would eat here again, strong onions don’t keep me away!!! I recommend this nice little Mom and Pop Retro Foodie Adventure!!!

I leave a star off because there’s always room for improvement. But everything was awesome. I probably won’t be back for another year, since the prices are not for the faint of heart.
But the customer service was very good. The waitress that served me was awesome. Food was better than I expected. Since it was a slight heat wave that day, they were able to place the tray on my window, when the food was ready.
The hotdog was enough. The circumference was that of a 50 cent piece. A smidgen bigger than a quarter. The brownies were good, but any future buyers of that kind of snack, make sure to notify staff/waitress you want to order that after you’re done eating.
I know that was what was agreed upon to have the snack delivered later, but it all came in one bag. By the time I got to thr brownies, the sugar clumped together on the brownies big time on the bottom. The moisture made the powder sugar stick/clump a lot. But brownies were still awesome.
Like others have said, come hungry. But also make sure to bring cash if you’d rather not have to work around and use PayPal or the other cashless options that might incur a fee on your end.
I came here in a uhaul van moving stuff in transition. I believe the height of the van was under 7′ clearance. I thought the parking in the lot were for smaller vehicles only. I saw a huge (as in taller) Sprinter van in the back. So, the smaller cars can park under the canopy, out of the weather, but larger vehicles with a higher clearance can park in the back just fine. I wouldn’t do anything bigger than a sprinter through there.
