Food was awesome, our server was wonderful, very friendly and knowledgeable. I’ve never heard of this place before now, but the name is similar to another restaurant here in Atlanta. I’m really happy we choose to come just based on that. Excellent!!

Food here is excellent as is the one downtown Anderson.
Plan to wait a while at this one if u have more than 4-5 in your party (we had to wait an hour to seat 10). They only have a couple sections for a larger party. The one downtown seems to have more options for seating & have never had to wait more than a few min, even at busy times. Service seems to be a little bit slower here than downtown too.
Other than that, food at both in Anderson is AWESOME!!

Traveling Motor Coach Gourmets
We are the traveling Motor Coach Gourmets. We frequent restaurants in many different cities and review them. Our ratings are as fair as we can make them as our reviews and yours can also impact a business owner. If we can’t give a 4 or 5 star review, or we don’t care for the service or food, we hold our review and give the place in question a 2nd and 3rd try. If after that, still not to our liking, then we rate the establishment.
We visited the Interstate location on 10/28/19. This is not our first experience with J Peters. We’ve eaten here before their fire as well. We’ve also eaten at their downtown location which is no better. The best thing about this joint is their salads; period!
The atmosphere and décor are slightly upscale but their food quality is low grade. We’ve eaten here numerous times trying to find a good meal. We’re done. I’ve tried their steaks, prime rib and seafood. Steer clear of their seafood! In fact, there aren’t any good seafood restaurants in the Anderson area. J Peters shrimp are disgusting.
I uploaded the salad and prime rib dinner. Isn’t that fat portion appetizing!
We enjoyed the salads and the water.
Many seem to enjoy their dining experience here but this is not fine dining. If you’re use to Outback, Olive Garden, etc, then perhaps this is good food. In fact, I would recommend Outback over J Peters.
Also, their wait staff are inexperience and all appear to be college kids who are totally clueless. I won’t expound on this other than our waitress had us waiting 7 minutes before she approached us aside from not knowing the menu.
One star. That’s it.

A pleasant greeting as we entered. We sat at the bar. The bartender was very pleasant and attentive. There were bar trainees that were very bored(many yawns). They had no interaction with customers and struggled to smile unless it was a server that they were friendly with. A young man entered the bar area. Not surei if he was tending bar or just sharing social media with the trainees. The food was excellent as was our service. We have been customers for years and was shocked by the work ethics of the trainees and young man.

Soup & Salad is all you need. Large portions of tasty!! I’d recommend the House Dressing of (A homemade Hot Bacon and Honey Mustard) and the SHE-Crab soup w/lump crab and don’t forget the freshly made croissants with drizzled honey butter.

Not what I expected. Restaurant had an odd smell inside. I was picking up a salad to go. Was not offered anything to drink while I waited. The salad per the menu was mixed greens instead it was iceberg and lots of the white iceberg. Not cut up well. Very difficult to eat as to go given the large pieces of lettuce. Steak was more rare. I ordered medium rare and it was cold and hardly seared. Quite disappointed I don’t think I would go back. Not quiet the mixed green salad I expected.

Never had a bad experience with J Peters until today ordered a Blackend Ceasar Salad and Bbq wings, was served a plain grilled chicken salad with a cup of seasoning and some fried wings with a cup of bbq sauce. After letting the sever know that my chicken wasn’t blackened and it didnt have cheese on it the server tells me i can put the seasoning on it myself and heres a cup of cheese…. being that i didnt discover the issue with the wings until i got home i called back and advised the manger of the awful service and food he clearly didnt seem to care. I liked this place pretty good until this issue and because of this i wont go back!

Service was fantastic, I ordered House Salad, & Bake Potato Soup. The croissant was DELICIOUS! I ate mine and my husbands♡.
