Thank you Patrick! I can’t tell you enough how much I appreciate your quick response and the compensation for the pie. Will definitely continue to visit Stauffer’s.
ORIGINAL REVIEW 11/27:
I’m normally not one to take to the reviews but I’m incredibly disappointed in this pumpkin pie we ordered for Thanksgiving. No excuse for pie that is equal parts filling to crust.
My wife is obsessed with the cinnamon rolls at Gaston’s in Disney world but this one is even better according to her! Only order one for 2 people though because the size is crazy!!
The food is always amazing my wife gets the omelets and I get pancakes and hash browns. We absolutely love the food the small diner feel of it.
We go often and are always so happy with the service and food
They also make the absolute best pies in the country!!
Food 5* Chicken fried steak was the 2nd best in Lincoln we have tried! Gravy had nice pieces of meat, great flavor and texture. Eggs cooked over easy as requested. Hash browns are actually sliced potatoes, believe they are grilled. I liked them, but husband prefers the more traditional hash browns.
We tried their Sunday special, grilled cinnamon roll. Glad I tried it! It was really delicious, took half home with me as it was very large. Husband chose the cinnamon raisin bread which did not disappoint. Super thick bread, it was delicious!
Service 5* our server was Charlee and she did a great job. Checked in on us throughout the meal and our order was correct. Heard a few tables next to us have some issues with food or missing items but the servers took care of it right away.
Atmosphere 5* Our booth was clean and restaurant was inviting. Love all the baked goods they have for sale as you walk in the door and pay your check.
This was our first experience at Stauffer’s and won’t be our last!
The food is always delicious. Everyone loves pies, and they often have an amazing selection of them.
The location is great. Feel free to start opening a half hour earlier when you want us to come more!
Also great coffee by the way!
My only wish? Pepper Jack cheese instead of American. The omelet itself is good, but that little swap would take it from “good breakfast” to “I’m coming back tomorrow morning.” If you like a bit of extra flavor or a mild kick, you’ll probably feel the same.
Overall, great hometown diner vibes, friendly service, and classic comfort food portions. Worth a stop if you’re in Lincoln and craving a hearty breakfast.
Photo of my plate below yes, that’s a lot of deliciousness.
Kids both wanted Eggs and Pancakes and we were told they could sub out the toast on any menu item. Great deal! Their food disappeared very quickly.
They also finished off my whole plate and his remaining hashbrowns. Pretty sure the 6 year old (the only one who’d eaten that morning) ate more than any of us.
Our server Jessika was awesome. Incredibly attentive! Never had bad service at this place. Great small town Diner feel. Great place to bring the fam. When you come to Stauffer’s you’re supposed to get pie. Kids had a birthday party in the afternoon so I told them we had to skip it this time . Pretty sure they already have their selection lined up for the next visit. ❤️ ❤️
