Unpretentious eatery with a patio serving seafood, sandwiches & pasta, plus a long whiskey list.

I really enjoyed my meal here. The seafood gumbo with rice was rich, comforting, and full of flavor. We sat at a table rather than the bar, although the bar area looked amazing. The lobster mac and cheese was creamy and tasty, and I would have loved it baked just a little longer for an extra cheesy finish. The oysters were incredibly fresh and tasted like they came straight from the ocean. Everything together made for a wonderful dining experience.

I used to love this place and we came here often, but the lobster roll is now a huge disappointment. For $32, you get tiny bits of overcooked lobster, and it looks nothing like the photo on the website. It used to be exactly as advertised, so I’m not sure what changed.
The extra star is for the excellent service and the beignets — those are still amazing.

Came here with some friends for dinner on a Saturday! It wasn’t too busy. The service staff were great. They have a wide variety of beer, wine, mixed drinks, and bourbon/whiskey. I tried out the 1/2 pound of peel and eat shrimp and the pear salad. Both were delicious. I got a side of remoulade for the shrimp which was fabulous. My friends shared two different kinds of oysters and said it was delicious. Will be back !

Came today 01/15/2025, around 4 pm, during happy hour. Happy hour prices are extremely fair and we ate a lot while here. Service was fast and accurate. Food was really tasty, and even for someone like myself who does not like seafood was able to find some variety on the menu of non seafood options that actually tasted good. The grilled chicken on the nachos especially was well seasoned. The hush puppies are a great size, bigger and better than other restaurants. “Fiery” mac and cheese wasn’t “fiery” at all. Oh, and their flavored lemonades are AMAZING!

I was excited when I made my reservation for dinner. My experience was somewhat less than I expected. The food was good (gave it a 4), but the atmosphere and the service were not what I expected based on previous reviews. The restaurant had kind of an open seating area, which created a bit of a loud environment and felt a bit like a diner. My waitress very friendly, but not attentive and assumed, at one point, that I was done and I hadn’t had an entree yet. My meal ended up being an extended experience. The food was good. If you are looking for dinner in a casual, open atmosphere with pretty good food, then I would recommend. Menu consisted mainly of apps, raw menu, sandwiches and a few entrees. All entrees are seafood. Aside from burgers, there is really no red meat on the menu. If you are looking for a nice dinner in a semi-private setting, this is probably not the right place. If you are looking for a semi-casual setting with pretty good seafood, this restaurant will fit the bill.

Outstanding Oyster House – A Must-Visit!
If you’re a fan of fresh seafood and top-tier whiskey, this oyster house is an absolute gem. The oysters were nothing short of phenomenal—fresh, perfectly shucked, and bursting with flavor. Whether you like them raw, grilled, or dressed up with creative toppings, they do them all to perfection.
The whiskey selection is just as impressive, offering a well-curated lineup that pairs beautifully with the seafood. From smooth sips to bold, smoky pours, there’s something for every whiskey lover.
And let’s talk about the lobster roll—hands down one of the best I’ve had. Overflowing with tender, buttery lobster meat and served on a perfectly toasted roll, it was everything you could want in a lobster roll and more.
Great atmosphere, attentive service, and a menu that delivers on every level. Whether you’re an oyster aficionado, a whiskey enthusiast, or just someone who loves incredible food, this place is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be back!

We decided to try this place for lunch. It was a beautiful day so we devided to sit outside. After ordering the seafood tower, the waiter noticed bugs were starting to circle. He moved us to another area that was bug free. I think his name was Michael, he was great. He gave great suggestions and was very attentive. The other staff members were great too. Overall the food was good. The seafood tower was good. The thai oysters, fried oysters and the shrimp were my favorites. Drinks and the Whiskey flight was great.

Lucked out in making reservations in the middle of happy hour! Happy hour runs Monday through Friday 3 to 6 with great specials.
Food was delicious! Flaky, tasty fish & unique chips. Oysters & mussels were the perfect celebratory dinner.
Our server provided lots of helpful information about the types of oysters. She asked if we were military and then proceeded to thank us for our service and applied a discount. The server’s support team (pooled tips) provided efficient, friendly service. Clearing the table promptly, delivering more bread & explaining which oysters were which on the platter. Also offering beer samples & quick refills.
Comfortable seats, nicely spaced in a cool setting with festive decorations and a rolling ceiling rack of booze.
Street parking was readily available when we arrived at 5 o’clock on a Friday.
If you’re looking for a reasonably priced restaurant for a special occasion or for just dining out, Whiskey & Oyster is your place!

My husband and I went at about 10pm. Let me start off with, the only items we found good were the appetizers. The Oyster Rockefeller was full of flavor and cheesy; and the Duck Spring Rolls were so good I could’ve just had that as my main course My husband and I both got the Caribbean Rockfish meal. In my opinion the fish itself was pretty good, but the beans and rice was not it. We got a dozen oysters, they were barely shucked. The spinach and squash/onions weren’t too good either, lacking. The drinks were decent. My husband got an Old Fashioned and I got a Strawberry Margarita. The service was ok, again it was late, so that could’ve been it. Overall 6/10 (in my Keith Lee voice lol)
