I’d heard good things about Potter’s Place and checked it out. From the moment we walked in, it was so loud we could barely hear ourselves think, let alone what the servers were saying! My dad had a decibel reader on his phone and checked how loud the place was (pic attached.) I understand that there were other people in the restaurant, but the music and TV didn’t help.
As far as the food, I got the signature Christmas Tree Burrito with shredded beef. For the price I would’ve liked it to have come with beans and rice, but maybe that’s just Naperville pricing.
Overall, it was an okay experience. Friendly staff and good food, but kind of pricey and definitely too loud.

Obviously not a gourmet extravaganza not sure what people in reviews expect. It’s a vibe place. Great live music, local folks enjoying drinks during warm evenings, eating finger food. We need more places like this

Delicious! I got the chicken taco and my son got the kids burger and fries. We both loved the food and the server was so attentive and kind! She put a big smile on my kiddos face when she brought him a crazy straw .

I only came in for a drink so can’t speak to the food, but had to leave a review because the service at the bar left such an impression on me. Adam the bartender was so genuine and hospitable, he treated everyone like they were an old friend instead of a stranger or a customer. He could tell when I got some bad news and was so kind and grounding. Shoutout to Adam, and I’ll be back for the food.

Oh man this is just unfortunate. I’ve always heard good things about this place, so when I got invited to meet here I was ecstatic. I’ve never been so let down before in my life with the food. I didn’t manage to get pictures of everything but we got tacos, fajitas, salads, and taquitos.
When I tell you that this might be the worst spot for Mexican cuisine, take my word for it. Our server was nice to us and fairly proficient at her job, but it took her a long time to get us any drinks or refills.
Would I come here again? Absolutely but only because they had live musicians and a good crowd, but the food was definitely not the vibe.

The outside seating area is nice and the staff was friendly and quick. I thought the quac was decent but I’ve had better. The fish taco was my favorite and the shrimp tacos were really tasty as well. The mango was a little underripe in my tacos, but overall a solid choice whenever I visit Naperville

It was very busy on a Saturday night. They did have love music outside on the patio. Service was slow. People inside were so loud that I couldn’t hear the person right in front of me. Security is very strict for some reason. They will really check everything. Guys were even lifting their shirts, not a pretty sight. Drinks were so watery, definitely not worth the money. Got 2 long islands and it was almost like they had no alcohol in them. Guacamole was good but had no salt so very bland. I just would not recommend this place. Bartender was kind.

We arrived and entered through the patio where there was nobody to sit us or greet us so we walked up to the bartenders and asked for a menu. Where there were four staff members standing around.
They proceeded to look at each other and then handed me the menu.
Once we placed our first order, just an appetizer which were the nachos terrible nachos. The nachos were cold, maybe it was a little bit windy but that doesn’t take away from the fact that the meat was some of the most disgusting steak I’ve had.
Now I apologize if this review is too direct, but that steak was just not edible.
It sure did not help that our server was nowhere in sight for the next 40 minutes where we sat there staring at the nachos picking a way of course because we’re hungry but we just wanted to check and the waitress was nowhere to be found.
Don’t get me wrong though you could easily find them, they just avoid eye contact and stand over by the bar. In the shade, there were at least three of them that would stand over and just not really do much, actually our server didn’t even bring out our own food.
Some server accidentally dropped a plate, while making a clear mistake. Instead of attempting to pick it up, the server walked away with a face of despair, all while the customer behind them picked up the glass understanding the severity in danger of having glass on the floor.
Honestly I was just in shock at these servers walking around collecting tip but doing the bare minimum.
The nachos were all we had there, they were mediocre.
Oh and they serve the drinks in plastic cups…
The patio tables don’t all have shaded tops…

Terrible take out service. Food portions are not the same as if you were dining in. Expect wrong meat cook types as well. Example: nachos steak, after they messed the order up, wrongly slapped some ill seasoned boiled steak or chuck beef chunks on top. Top notch thankfully I am not a bot. The owner is ignorant enough to be sarcastic in their reply.
Edit to owners childish nature: It is 100% your NACHOS lol just with the toppings on the side. Is that a new one for you? Seeing your nachos with all toppings on the side. Point of the review is to show case that you gave crummy service togo. Been inside and ordered them multiple time. Grow up, and own up
