Coffee Bar & Cones Inc was quite the experience. I visit this location for a friend date and a nice milkshake. The sign outside does not say Coffee Bar & Cones Inc and if it does its hard to locate. I almost drove by the place. As we walked through the door we were underwhelmed. The blue wall background, comfy seats and nice decorations as seen on some of the pictures a year ago were gone. What occupies the space? Old school diner/cafe booths and chairs, a yellow wall with a beehive comb decorations and not so much of an inviting atmosphere. The young lady at the register barely acknowledged us. We tried a few of the ice cream flavors. They were pretty good. However, I asked for a milkshake with banana pudding ice cream and biscoff cookies. I was given a MILK flavored drink with soggy cookies. I asked for it to be fixed with either more ice cream or something else. She seemed baffled and unwilling until she realized I would not back down. It was “fixed”. However, it was still milky, not made with the ice cream I asked for nor was good.
My friend ordered a Cinnamon Bun cake which was old and stale. She tried to get a refund. However, was asked if she wanted something else and when she said, “No.” Another young lady (the woman who was helping us had left) she called someone and my friend asked, “How long had the cakes been there?” She told her she couldn’t tell her.
She gave her a business card (for a ride share) and wrote a $6 refund on the back with her name.
This place is not a place I would recommend out of all the ice cream and coffee choices you can pick in Charlotte. Save yourself the headache and just go to the grocery store if you cant make it out to another location.

i ordered a caramel macchiato and a caramel latte. the coffee sucked, it was acidic, the guy upfront didnt put any flavoring in one of them, and the other had little to no espresso. at first we thought “hey maybe they are known for ice cream.” however when we went to order we realized the website was completely inaccurate, and they only had a few flavors of ice cream. Not to mention we had to correct the guy upfront several times on the details of our order, only to still receive the wrong flavors of ice cream (all of which was freezer burnt by the way) They did not have any of the pastries advertised on the website, nor several of the flavors of ice cream. Felt like the website was for a different store entirely.

Vanilla iced latte with add caramel was DELICIOUS!! So smooth and delicious tasting coffee. Bacon egg on a croissant was also so tasty. Thank you for a nice cute local coffee shop! Would love to come back and try the ice cream.

We’ve been waiting for this place to open!! I went with my mom and sister, it was clean and the women working here are so kind!! My mom is always very specific about what she wants on her ice cream and they made this amazing dessert!! We’re really glad we stopped by and are excited to come by here more often! Y’all should definitely stop by!

My wife and I just left coffee bar and cone 20 minutes ago and I must say the service, food and frapp was amazing. We both had the chicken and waffles with eggs and it was delicious. Out of all the chicken and waffle sandwiches I’ve had, this is the best. I wanted to get two but didn’t want to be greedy. We’ll be back again!

This is one of the best coffee shops i’ve visited thus far in Charlotte. It made me feel right at home and the customer service was exceptional the lady at the front made sure my matcha iced coffee was perfect. I got a egg, cheese n chicken sausage on a bagel and it was the freshest breakfast sandwich i’ve had, made me feel like i was back in NY. Loved my experience

First time here, and I was seriously impressed. I ordered the waffles on a stick topped with chopped nuts and warm chocolate syrup — the waffle was golden, slightly crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy inside. The syrup was rich, silky, and just the right amount of sweet, melting perfectly over the waffle. I added a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream on the side — ultra creamy with real vanilla flecks and a smooth, slow-melting texture that balanced the warmth of the syrup beautifully.
The staff was great — a really nice young woman helped me out, and the owner was welcoming and clearly hands-on. Whether you’re craving something sweet or just want a chill place to grab coffee, this place delivers. Definitely coming back — and if you’re near UNC, you should too.

Food, delicious. Atmosphere, relaxing. Customer service, highly impressed. While placing my order, the young lady informed me that someone just place an order before me for about 8 sandwiches and some other stuff. I explained to them that I’ll wait. However, when the cook heard my order, she started on it right then and there, because it was simple and basic. That alone won me over. I’ll be back.
