One of the first restaurants that you see if you are on a cruise ship that is touring Alaska when docked in Skagway.
My dad is in a wheelchair so this was conveniently located in the front with accessible access. This restaurant does not disappoint! If you’re going to have fresh Alaskan seafood this would be the place to go when getting off the ship. I’m sure the restaurant is used to lots of tourists so they are very efficient in line management. The ambience is similar to a local restaurant or diner, so it’s not that big but don’t be fooled.
This has some of the best tasting crab legs I’ve ever had in my life! I’m just sad. They didn’t have the one I wanted to try because it wasn’t available which was the red crab legs.
However, the king crab legs was worth it! Super fresh, I don’t think I’ll ever eat crab legs the same again. We even ordered the oysters and I’m still craving it till this day.
If you think this is a tourist trap, it probably is. But it is well worth it when traveling all the way to Alaska because the downtown is about a 10 minute walk away from the pier if you have older people with you this is a place to go.

We skipped Skagway Brewing Company for lunch because their Fish and Chips were $35 and that place was very disorganized; we had a hard time even getting beer there, so we decided to come to this restaurant, which was a smart choice. The fish and chips were were $27 and the absolute BEST!! The fish was fluffy, sweet, flaky and insanely fresh. I am forever spoiled. I cannot order fish and chips anywhere else because nothing will ever match Skagway Fish Company’s quality. The distance for us was only a 7-min walk back to our cruise ship (NCL Encore) during the shoulder season of May 2025. Also, don’t make the mistake I did and walk out of there without buying their cool Skull Fish T-shirt, I really should have bought it.

Excellent food and beer’s, took the Norwegian Alaskan Cruise over. There are lots of other ship, so there is about 10 to 30 min wait. But it’s definitely worth it.

Wow! In Skagway we checked out menus at various places and then decided on the Skagway Fish Company. What a great choice. Molly was our server at the bar and what a terrific personality and amazing service. We started with drinks while chatting with Molly and a few other patrons. We decided on the Halibut fish and chips and they were out of this world. The fish was so fresh and cooked well. My wife had two plates full. The other people at the bar were all bragging about the food. The fish and chips, the crab cakes and the crab as well as other dishes were getting rave verbal reviews. Of course we felt the same way. Molly was terrific and you could tell she knew her menu and also loved serving people and was professional, kind and efficient.
We had a wonderful time. 5 stars plus.

Loved this restaurant – we went twice! Food was absolutely delicious and the service from Nate was great! It’s such a cool place. They do gluten free tailoring, but it’s very limited which is the reason for 4stars. But the food we did have was outstanding!

Overall, we enjoyed our experience. Friendly and prompt service, great menu selection and fresh ingredients. The halibut had just a little too much breading but the fish was cooked well. $115 for an appetizer, two entrées and three beers.

Best crab I’ve ever had. We were on the fence about ordering it, given it’s a bit pricey, but thankfully our waiter talked us into it. The red king crab—not the jumbo—is the way to go. It’s so incredibly moist and flavorful, unlike any frozen crab you’d find in the lower 48. The fried halibut and shrimp are also really tasty! Bring a friend so you can try it all!

Our server (David/Eric) was great! He was very happy and informative. The restaurant has a lovely view of the dock. The patio space is very nice- inside it’s crowded but not stuffy or loud. Let’s talk about the food … Not the taste we would expect and quantity is disappointing. Serving portions are very small for the price. It was a one time visit anyway. We won’t be visiting here again.

We were looking for king crab for a late lunch, and I googled where to go. Skagway Fish Company had a lot of great reviews, and it was a short walk from the cruise ship area. And WOW! We were seated quickly, and our amazing server gave us ideas and recommendations. We got the king crab legs, and they were amazing! Just melted in my mouth! So fresh and delicious! We also ordered the halibut and chips (I love halibut, but we live in a land-locked state) The halibut was lightly breaded (not beer batter, thank goodness), so fresh, and so good! Definitely the best Alaskan fish and chips on the entire 10 day cruise! This is definitely the place to go to for any meal when in Skagway! (Did I say that the service was stellar? It is! )

I was very excited to try this joint out due to the reviews from others. We were not disappointed. I had the halibut fish and chips and it was tasty. My lady had a halibut sandwich and she really enjoyed it, and that’s coming from a non-fish lover. We also got the king crab soup and we highly recommend it as an appetizer.
Service was fantastic and the atmosphere makes you feel like you are at a dock eating.
