This restaurant offers both Mexican and Peruvian cuisine. There is a sharp distinction between these latin countries culinary specialties, with their unique style and flavors.

We tried the grilled fish with onion, peppers, tomatoes, and rice, which was very good. And we also had the breaded and fried calamare, fried yuca and pickled red onions, chop tomatoes, and fresh cilantro. It was good, but I prefer small tender calamare with tenticles, instead of the large rings that was served.

The service was very good, our server very attentive and the ambiance was pleasant and quiet. I recommend this restaurant.

First time at this restaurant it was pretty empty we were seated right away and waited for our server ( and waited) finally our drink order was taken and we waited and waited for our drinks we ordered the Cantarito , tequila lime juice, orange juice and grapefruit soda. When the drinks finally arrived the server tells us “ these are hard to make” I think he skipped the tequila 🙁 we had to ask for chips and salsa as they did not bring them until we asked. We had the fajitas , steak (skimpy) and carnitas which were very good tasting rice and beans are BLAND. Our server NEVER returned. We asked another server to let our server know we’d like to go boxes and our check OUR SERVER NEVER RETURNED. The bartender brought out check. Not a great experience at all.

We had a great meal. I had a steak burrito, and Gypsy had a chicken Peruvian meal. Both were very good. The beer was cold and very good. The staff was friendly and helpful. The establishment was very clean and well maintained. The mural on the wall was a work in progress and was great. We definitely recommend stopping by when you are in the area.

Great authentic cuisine with a local flair. It came recommended to us by the staff at General RV Center. They weren’t wrong! They’re not so authentic as to find guinea pigs on the menu. But I don’t think you’ll miss them. Everything that came to our table was served hot and fresh. Including the chips! Eat here. You won’t regret the price either. They have a full bar. Though poorly advertised. The Margarita went down easy. We’ll be back.

The beans mole has no seasoning. Rice has no seasoning. My steak tacos had no seasoning only onions and cilantro and lime. This was my first time going to your restaurant I wasn’t served what I know is Mexican food. And you substituted plain white rice, no salt for yellow rice, which probably would’ve tasted the same as the rest of the food. Only writing this because I was on my way home from a long day of work and starving seen your place for a while now and decided to support a small business expecting original Mexican food and it was off by 90%. The beans don’t have any color?? What is it?

This is a great option for food near Ocala. It is on the expensive side, but it’s really good.
So many restaurants have raised their price and lowered the portions and cut costs in quality.

Not this place, food is great.
My wife has the chicken chaufa (fried rice) and I had the carne a lot pobre. Best meat I’ve had in a while.

For the holiday season I visit this restaurant with several people. Its a beautiful restaurant and very friendly staff but the food sucks. The food did not pass the taste and looks test. I got soo very sick that night I had to drink seltzer water to calm my stomach. It’s a place not to far from home, I wish the food was better. After that embarrassment, I won’t be coming back. The only thing going for this place is the friendly staff, thats it. Food sucks.

Mi Tierra Latina is an absolute treasure! I had the lomo saltado and jalea—both were outstanding. The lomo saltado was flavorful and tender, while the jalea was crispy, fresh, and packed with delicious seafood. The quality and authenticity of the food really shine through.

What stood out just as much as the food was the warm, welcoming atmosphere. It’s such a family-friendly spot—perfect for a casual dinner or a special gathering. The staff made us feel right at home, and the whole experience was full of good vibes. I’ll definitely be coming back with friends and family. Highly recommend!

We visited during the soft opening. The service was a little slow, but I’m happy to see the restaurant back open. I was a little disappointed that they charged for chips and salsa, but the food was great. The parking was free. Outdoor seating is available. I recommend the restaurant and wish them great success. A very convenient location for residents in nearby Marion Oaks, Summerglen, and travelers on I 75.
