Our classic 1952 original Mountainview Diner has been lovingly restored and is the hub of the community. Open daily (and most holidays) from 7:00 am. We serve only quality products handmade with daily featured items. We have been voted Best Diner in New York, best Hollandaise, best pie crust, best bacon as well as the Region 4 winner of the best burger. We offer a Kids and Senior menu, Value Meal menu, Gluten Free items and Veteran’s Discount. We are located less than a mile off the 90 Thruway at exit 30. We hope to see you soon!

I Visited this fascinating restaurant while I was on vacation. I thought all the art and collectibles on the walls were super cool. Not to mention the food was good too. I ordered two eggs over medium, bacon , white toast and home fries. My wife ordered the crazy pancake combo it

Great food, fun vibes, exceptional service. Quality control was impressive, we saw this little redhead running the show, checking food before it went to the customer, and returning when needed. The hubs and I shared the Hobo breakfast. It was delicious and could feed four people!

While visiting The quaint city of Herkimer, we decided to try breakfast at Crazy Otto’s Diner. What a pleasant surprise. Walking in the front door was like stepping back in time to a real diner. Our waitress was Karen who was a lovely lady who made us feel right at home. To make things even better, the food was awesome, the portions were huge! Thanks to Karen for handling our rowdy party with kindness and professionalism. If you’re in the area, I highly making this a stop❤️

My wife and I along with my brother, had lunch today and from beginning to end it was truly an amazing experience. Greeted immediately and seated by a friendly staff. The service was very attentive, loved the decor , my brother and I had the special, Philly cheesesteak and my wife had gluten free pancakes, delicious food, big portions, very reasonable prices. Food 1 star, service was amazing and atmosphere was amazing too. 22+ tip for eggs hash browns and sausage with toast. Potatoes were burnt and eggs was over cooked. I went around 11am so not sure if that was rush hour but for 22+ for a plate of average proportions to any other diner that shouldn’t be my problem. I’ve been here several times and order the same thing. Not once have I felt it worth the price unless they pay their workers a fair wage then that’s fine then ig. Would love to change this sauce there so close but only time will tell.

If you want the best food and big portions, this is the place! I can’t say enough about the friendly staff and love the decor. The breakfast is beyond delicious. I’ll have to keep going back many more times because I want to try everything on their menu!
