I visited Café Rio this past Wednesday after going to Trader Joe’s, and I had an excellent experience. I love Mexican food, and when I saw Café Rio right in front of me, I decided to give it a try ,and it was definitely the right choice!
The food was delicious, everything was super fresh, and the portions were very generous — more than enough for one person. The salad was especially amazing: fresh, crisp, and full of flavor.
The atmosphere was great, with good music, and the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. They explained everything clearly, guided us through the menu, and you could tell they were enjoying their shift.
I went with my family, and we had a really lovely time. I will definitely be coming back. Highly recommended!

I made a pick up order and everything was wrong and sadly I didn’t notice until I got home and unpacked everything. I ordered all corn tortillas with cheese (one taco then one salad) and all the tortillas were flour, no cheese on them. My salad had pulled chicken when i paid extra for fire grilled and there were pinto beans instead of black beans and the corn salsa I ordered was nowhere to be found. Totally disappointed all around. Offered one extra star because the cashier gave me a free drink because we had to wait (for my wrong meal to be ready smh).

Good quick serve tex mex food like Chipotle and Qdoba. They use quality ingredients, but my wife thought they were 3 stars, so there you go.
I also thought their prices were higher compared to the competition.

This establishment has really taken a nose dive in the last few years. The portion size has gotten skimpy and the quality has deterated. Ordered a grilled chicken salad and chips with queso. The chicken was hard, dry and burned. The queso was curdled and watery. The guacamole was brown. This used to be one of my favorite places for carry out but I will not be returning after tonight’s experience.

I placed an order through Door Dash and waited over an hour. During that time, three Dashers picked up the order for delivery, but it was canceled due to delays in preparation. Not to mention that they prepare the orders without checking them, and everything arrives wrong. There are definitely better places to buy from. Highly disappointing.

VERY VERY VERY GREAT FOOD AND THE LADIES AT THIS PLACE ON OCT 2 2025 AT 625PM WAS SO SO NICE WE ARE GLUTIN FREE. I used to visit this Café Rio often, but after my recent experience, I won’t be returning. I ordered a Tostada bowl and was shocked when they tried to charge me extra for a slightly larger portion of Pico de Gallo. I’ve never been charged for extra Pico anywhere else, whether it’s at Chipotle, California Tortilla, or any other Mexican restaurant—it’s always been complimentary.
To make matters worse, the staff (the manager) was rude when I questioned this charge. The bowl was also the smallest I’ve ever received, which only added to my disappointment. If this is indeed a new policy, it’s a ridiculous one, and it’s a shame that customer service has taken such a downturn here.
I won’t be back, and I’m very disappointed in what used to be a favorite spot of mine.

I told the lady I was going to order two bowls, she started to fully complete one bowl at a time jumping around and rushing me through the first (meanwhile she was soft spoken, and hard to hear/understand). She then had someone else take the order for the second bowl, who in turn rushed me like crazy and skipped a ton of stuff). 100% will not order in person again if my wife ever convinces me to go back.

I usually only go here for the chicken tortilla soup which is really good! I like the hot tortillas and their simple burritos without the gravy sauce. The sauce seems odd for the burrito in my opinion. The servers are hit or miss…sometimes nice and sometimes with attitudes.
