This is definitely a restaurant you don’t want to miss! Make time to stop by either on your way out or way into PDX as it is really close to the airport. You will not be disappointed. Our favorites are the brick chicken and the sausage and peppers pizza (we love adding pepperoni to this). Let me just say the brick chicken will be nothing like you’ve ever had before…..you’ll be back for more! It is super delicious and it’s served with buttery mashed potatoes with a perfect pinch of truffle oil. Squeeze some lemon juice on top of the chicken that’s crispy on the outside and dusted with chives. We also had a red Caesar salad (so so good). They also made the best homemade cookies.

Fast service, clean restaurant, great flavorful food, well priced
Ceasars salad, bulognese were made fresh and very filling. Great flavor, noodles were cooked perfectly.
The atmosphere is a modern casual-formal dinning experience. Id say you can come as you are relaxed in casual dress, or put on some nice digs and take your gf here.
Staff was polite, quick service

Great food, fancy restaurant quality, but very relaxed, non formal atmosphere. You order and pay at register, then find your own table. Food was great. Had the pork chop wife had the chicken. Would return.

The beet salad with citrus was unique and delicious. Added ham to the Caesar salad and it was almost a charcuterie board.

We love Bistro 23! Excellent food, kid friendly, and a great wine selection. Our family eats out here regularly, the owner is super nice. Our favorites are the bolognese, the brick chicken, and the sausage pizza. All of the seasonal salads have been stellar and don’t forget to order a side of polenta, it’s so good. We always take home their sea salt chocolate chip cookies. Love this place!

You really feel the care that has gone into the menu and environment.
Food is delicious, menu changes with the seasons to keep it fresh while not loosing the favorites.

Everything was outstanding. We got a small ceaser salad, brick chicken, the charred cabbage and a cookie and tiramisu. Blown away! The brown butter on the cabbage?! To die for!! The brick chicken is so cozy and delicious. The dressing on the salad was yummy and garlicky, and the desserts are perfect!! We live up the street and finally made it in. I wish I came sooner. The staff were also all wonderful and friendly.

Great, quiet atmosphere at 3pm on a Tuesday. Plenty of seating that you seat yourself at; they bring you table water, you order at the counter. Many of the tables are wheel chair accessible. Our infant child was allowed in even though they serve alcohol. No kid-specific menu items. Prices affordable, especially for the quality of food.
Greeted by friendly staff at the door. Received our food within 10 minutes of ordering, piping hot. Clean bathrooms, effectively gender-neutral as they are 1 person at a time.
Food was glorious! Grilled cheese was on crispy sourdough with gooey gouda cheese. Tomato basil soup was steaming hot, had red pepper and some special flavor we couldn’t put a finger on. Good selection of drinks. Had a delicious red ale from draft with my meal.
Highly recommend this casual spot in industrial area.

My goodness, this place is amazing. Had a coworker bring me there for lunch, and I haven’t eaten this good in a LONG time. Super high quality food at great prices, and a nice atmosphere to boot. It’s Portland, so YMMV, but if you can manage a sunny day and sit on the patio by the river while eating the juiciest, crispy-skinnest, most flavorful brick chicken you’ll ever have, you won’t regret it. I have every intention of visiting again and again, and trying everything on the menu. I’d give six stars if I could, it’s just. that. good.
