Tried the shrimp dinner
Overall good, appreciated it was deveined.
The shrimp could use more batter to give it a crunch.
Typically I do not like cheese sauce macaroni but it wasn’t bad. Presentation could be better.
The cole slaw was delicious. Fresh cabbage used, finely chopped, sweet dressing and served cold!
The hush puppies were thick and bready. Nothing stood out. A one bite dish.

BBQ sandwhich all the way (with coleslaw) was good, they have bottles of different sauces so you can make it your own! So I did.
Friend with me had the BBQ and chicken plate. The chicken was huge! Being me, I tasted it, the skin was crisp and light and the meat was tender and juicy.
There are many options to eat on the menu that anyone should be able to find something good to eat!

This place is a carbon copy of Smithfield’s bbq which is not a good establishment to copy in terms of quality of food is concerned so that means the bbq here is seriously underwhelming, sauce isn’t good the potato salad isn’t great collard greens inedible, the bbq chicken also not good just ok-ish, service was good and the place itself is nice to sit and eat but the food is lacking.

Place was immaculate and a modern take on a traditional business with a long family history. Service was very friendly. Kids meal was like a 5 course meal. I felt the prices were surprisingly low for the portions but it’s true that the portions are just “normal” instead of “Southern American”. Sink outside the bathroom (one in bathroom as well) thought that was an interesting convenience. I love BBQ of all kinds, you’ll get a Carolina style here. I liked it but I didn’t love it to be honest, but it was filling and pretty tasty. Only appeared to be one choice of sauce at the table and it was a hot vinegar sauce, it was pretty good but would have liked more choices. This location has a dining area and a drive thru.

14SEPT.2023 Did a call in order and Christine was awesome. Our pulled pork sandwich, hush puppies, and slaw were delicious when we got back to our hotel. The Carolina style of pulled pork(vinegary and pepper or spicy throughout the pulled pork)doesn’t have barbecue(BBQ)sauce or different types of sauces.
The restaurant inside was very clean and not too busy at 7pm. Lots of seating and clean drink station. I like how the sink is near the dining area before you head to the bathrooms. This is here so you can clean your hands instead of having to go inside to the bathroom. Good for for a decent price.

Well this has to be the best service I have ever had. The food was cooked fresh and the food selection was great. They have a menu for kids and specials. They have a variety of sweets to top off the meal. Good Carolina cooked BBQ this is the place to come. Great family atmosphere.

I decided to have lunch here for the very first time. The place was clean and very nice. The food was very good. I had the shrimp burger combo. It was the best one I have had. The tea was really good. It was very close to my Mother’s Southern Iced tea! The staff were very friendly and helpful. I met the manager, Tyler which also came around to the tables to check on the customers. He was very friendly and informative. I would say that so far this is the best place in the area to have a shrimp burger. I have tried El’s, Oak drive-in, Hwy 55 and many other places in several states. I will be back.

What does it take for people to take Covid serious? We would’ve left if we had not been in the middle of our meal when customer after customer came in with no mask on. Regulations say to wear a mask when not eating. There was a group standing among the tables talking without masks. More customers came in and stood in line and at the counter with no masks. We asked that the manager be notified, however, later he greated some customers with no masks as if they were regulars. I HIGHLY recommend that if you REALLY want this food, to order take-out. Do you value your health? We’re supposed to be all in this together and it’s not over yet. Vaccine or no vaccine, it’s not over.
