Sometimes you come for the food sometimes you come for the service and ambience sometimes everything is so great. You only want to come back because of everything. If you have to drive an hour to come here to try the oxtails you should drive an hour might even drive an hour and a half, and the people were super friendly. You are like family. I will be back again and again.

Went to get doubles for myself and friends, they were dry, the taste and quality was horrible.
Since the TV debut the food quality is off and price is ridiculous. I’m trule embarrassed because I’ve sent friends there for what was authentic Trinidian food.
Not so much now.

So, today I was looking for some plain roti (buss up shot) to take to family in Texas because it’s almost impossible to find where they live. I called this restaurant to find out how much. The man that answered phone said they sell it by the pound!! My entire family is carribbean and I’ve never heard this before. I then told him how much would a dozen cost because I have no idea about pounds. He said, and I quote: “ 12 roti will equal 12 pounds”. So then I asked how much per pound. He again quoted “ $8.99 per pound “. I was so shocked hearing this because essentially, each roti would be $8.99 plus tax which is absurd!! So I drove out of my way to another carribbean spot and asked the same question to which the answer was $2.50 for EACH roti skin. If you do the math from the first guy I would have been paying over $107.88 plus tax and I paid $30 plus tax from other store. NOW HERE IS WHERE THE STORY GETS GOOD!!! When I got home, I got my trusty scale out and weighed several of the roti skins individually and they all averaged right about 1/2 pound or less. Please see picture below. People you need to ask questions and ask for proof when you purchase things especially when someone is randomly guessing information that would affect what you would pay. Shaking my head right now. I will never eat there simply because it’s an integrity issue. FYI roti’s essential ingredients are flour, water, salt, oil, etc. not much more than that!!! WOW

This was a pleasant surprise during my week-long training in Atlanta.
I’ve been to many roti shops, and none have felt as family-oriented as Tassa’s Roti Shop; and the food tasted exactly that way too. I had the Buss-Up Shut with Bone-In Curry Chicken (Chicken Curry), and it was truly an amazing experience.
This spot will not disappoint!

Food here is always amazing went Saturday 2/7, had a big dinner the night before. So I ordered a Peardrax, (drink) Mac-n-Cheese and two doubles. Everything was fresh hot and amazing.. I always get extra cucmuber chutney on my doubles and keep in mind their hot sauce is amazingly HOT. They only make doubles on Saturday and they are the best I have had. Went to Florida with high hopes, ordered some Doubles and baby Tassa’s is the best I have had so far.
UPDATE: SO HAPPY THEY CORRECTED ME. JUST FOUND OUT I/YOU CAN GET DOUBLES EVRY DAY THEY ARE OPEN.

First time here and I’ll say the food wasn’t bad and you get good bang for your buck with the buffet option.
Tried a little bit of all the proteins available and my favorite was the stewed pork. The jerk chicken was spicy but wasn’t as flavorful once you got past the first layer. The stewed/ curry chicken and beef were well seasoned and pretty good. The rice and Mac and cheese were bland but the roti on the side was fresh, hot, and soft.

We had Goat Roti, Guava juice and lemon cake for dessert. The Goat Roti was absolutely authentic, generous and delicious! The goat was tender and the roti was satisfying. Lemon cake was thankfully generous and made from scratch. I ate mine with a hot cup of coffee the next day. What a treat! The guava juice was refreshing and special. We will definitely come back.

Cafeteria style ordering and seating. There is a menu and buffet. The gentleman behind the counter was friendly and enthusiastically explained all of the food options. We decided on the buffet so we could try it all. Not disappointed! The food is SUPER. Laid back atmosphere. Will definitely be back.

Best Trini buffet in Atlanta. Also love the shrimp roti. Haven’t had doubles yet but looking forward to it. Love all the meat options and now they even have duck. Their roti skins are the best I’ve ever had and I’ve been going for close to 15 years. It is insane how consistent Tassas is

Wow! Love this place! Food is amazing and staff is so friendly! If you are familiar with Caribbean food this is a must if in the Atlanta area. If you aren’t familiar with it, this is where you should go to give it a try! They will guide you through the dishes, ask what you like normally and then set up a plate that will NOT DISAPPOINT!
