I had the vada pav, which is a sandwich of fried potato filling between two slices of bread.
Unfortunately, this was just bad
The bread was cold. Like not even just lukewarm, straight up cold. Obviously, it wasn’t toasted in the slightest either. My guess is they took it off the shelf and just threw it on the plate.
The potato filling was not good either. It had very few spices and tasted mostly like mush. The fry on the potato was extremely soft and not crispy at all. This fried ball was also just way too large for the sandwich. Every bite was like 90% potato filling and that’s it. It got old very quickly.
The chutneys were not good either. Especially the green chutney, which might have been the most bland chutney I’ve ever had
I tried the samosa chaat, and this was a sickly sweet mess.
The price is actually not terrible – you get a meal for 10-15 dollars. The only problem is the quality is awful.
Overall, this ranks as one of the worst restaurants I’ve been to. 1.5/10
We’ve been here multiple times and tried many dishes. Most of the dishes are good, except misal pav.
What we tried: Pav Bhaji, Vada Pav, Raj Kachori, Thali, Dabeli
Verdict:
The pav bhaji is impressively close to what you’d find on the streets of Mumbai — that distinct, flavorful punch that sets it apart from versions found elsewhere in India. The vada pav is also excellent, capturing the right spice and texture. Special shoutout to the Raj Kachori — it’s massive, delicious, and absolutely worth trying. The dabeli lives up to Mumbai standards too. However, the thali was quite average and can easily be skipped. Don’t miss their filter coffee — strong, aromatic, and a perfect end to the meal.
Service: Very quick and efficient.
Ambience: Nothing noteworthy, but honestly, with food this good, you don’t mind.
One suggestion: Stick to what you do best — Mumbai street food. It’s your strength, and trying to diversify too much might dilute the experience. That said, I’m curious to try their South Indian and North Indian offerings next time.
Dahi puri was good. No complaints.
Pulav portion can be seen in the picture. It’s like a small portion which should may be 7-8$ but they charged 12$. The taste is just like rice mixed with chilli and masala powder.
Paneer tikka sandwich – why would a sandwich taste sweet !?
All in all, it felt like the water was tastier here.
1) Cheese Dabeli
Huge portion size. They are not shy of putting cheese. Taste was good.
2) Pav Bhaji
Excellent taste! Highly recommend.
3) Dahi Puri
Tasty and good portion. Great choice.
4) Vada Pav
Okayish but spicy. Although they did give sauces, chutneys, and a chilli on the side too.
I also had Ginger Tea which was very good. They also snuck in 2 Parle G biscuits which is appreciated.
Overall, a good experience. Ambience could be better.
