⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ “Delicious Food, Great Atmosphere, and Something for Everyone!”
We had such a wonderful experience at Jerry’s Restaurant in Onalaska, TX! I ordered the catfish po’ boy, and it was incredibly fresh — the bread was soft and flavorful, and the tartar sauce on the side was perfect. We also enjoyed a basket of warm biscuits with their white country gravy, and let me tell you… amazing.
I couldn’t resist ordering the fried green tomatoes (because I love them), and they did not disappoint — crispy, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. My husband got the chicken fried steak, and of course I had to try a bite… it was excellent.
Our two picky eaters gave their full approval to the jumbo burger and popcorn chicken, which says a lot!
The atmosphere was great, the service was friendly, and everything came out hot and fresh. I grabbed two slices of pie to go, and even after running errands, they held their shape perfectly — and tasted just as amazing when we finally got home.
Highly recommend Jerry’s if you’re looking for a satisfying, home-style meal that hits the spot!

Food was impeccable! Perfect cozy, mom and pop you could tell everything was homemade. We stumbled upon this restaurant just driving through town but we plan on making this a normal restaurant on our rotation despite being about an hour from the house!

Our friends invited us to have lunch with them at Jerry’s. They had a great selection and great prices. The service was excellent and the waitress was friendly and helpful. I had the chicken bacon on rye with fries and my husband had the special – roast beef with gravy with a choice of three sides and a dessert. The food was delicious and the amount generous.

Menu consists of: burgers, chicken fried steak, salads, pork chops, seafood, sandwiches, desserts, etc.
We paid about $30 for 2 people (burger, chicken fried steak and drinks). Specials were fairly priced, but listed different offers depending on the board you looked at (i.e. one said with dessert and the other was without, but both listed the same price).
Quality of food was okay. Their fried green tomatoes were my favorite part of the meal. Could use some more seasoning. Portions were a little smaller than expected.
Staff was very welcoming and easy to talk to. Attentive and helpful. Ordering and check out was easy.
Overall, would return. It was a calm place for lunch and the staff was good.

Food was delicious. I had stuffed shrimp and boudin balls. Wife had fried shrimp and crawfish. The entire wait staff was very friendly. They even gave my grandson some candy and a piece of strawberry cake. We are gonna return. Mmmmm mmmmm

Omelet was flat with unmelted shredded cheese hanging out, all with very little flavor. Hash browns were burned on the top but under-cooked on the bottom. My whole meal was room temperature and greasy. I used a napkin to take some grease off the top of the omelet. Overall just unappealing. Yes, friendly wait staff but that can’t carry a completely unappealing breakfast. $32 for two for breakfast so a little pricey for subpar food.
