The karaage chicken appetizer was good but the ramen, particularly the broth, was lacking in flavor. My shoyu was bland and light in color – normally it is darker from the soy sauce base. My husband’s tonkotsu was slightly better. I do appreciate the generous amount of toppings though.
Unfortunately I do not think we will be back simply because the ramen was subpar.
I was here once a few years ago and all the food was delicious. This time around was no different.
I started with the noodle wrapped shrimp and Karaage chicken. The shrimp are deep fried and topped with spicy mayo and Okinawa sauce. The chicken is also fried and topped with sweet and spicy gochujang sauce. The Karaage chicken is my favorite item on the menu.
I tried the spicy miso ramen last time. This time I went with the tonkotsu ramen. It’s made with pork broth, ajitsuke tamago, chashu, bamboo shoots, scallions, nori, narutomaki, and black garlic oil.
My friend ordered the teriyaki chicken bowl. She liked it so much the first time she had to order it again.
Service left much to be desired. Our server didn’t introduce himself, ask how any of the food was, or crack a single smile. I would have rather ordered from a counter and just sat myself.
Pickup and delivery are both available.
Rakkii Ramen had great vibes all around. The music and overall atmosphere really set the tone and made it a fun place to hang out, and the service was friendly and attentive without feeling rushed.
I ordered the fried chicken ramen and it was honestly delicious. It was crispy, flavorful, and the chicken paired perfectly with the broth and noodles. Everything tasted fresh and well put together.
They also have a really cool robot that brings food to your table, which was a fun and unique touch and definitely added to the experience.
I’d absolutely come back again, both for the food and the experience. Definitely a solid spot if you’re looking for good ramen with a great environment.
1st time in my life I have left a review for anything.
Maybe for $5. Nothing more than that.
