I didn’t get a chance to try the black forest SL piece cakes, but they looked good.
Nice place to come buy a cake for a family birthday party. One of the cakes was a bit touched, like if it left 2 finger prints, maybe when they were putting it inside the box or moving it, but it’s no big deal. I appreciate the service here. . I had a nice family birthday .
I was able to find free parking inside the building behind the bakery.

This spot in downtown Alhambra is super convenient, right on Main Street, and parking in the lot is a breeze! The freshly baked bread is a highlight, with consistent quality that’s hard to find. My only suggestion would be to work on the service speed; drinks can take a while, and a bit more attentiveness would make the experience even better.

I went to purchase some pastries after not visiting this location for almost 2 years. employee at the front “Gio” was rude and dismissive. didn’t tell me amex wasn’t accepted until my 3rd attempt at using my card. then he got annoyed because I was getting my other card out, so he moved to the register next to mine and went to help another customer. I then put in my visa, transaction went through, Gio came back and said insert your card again. I mentioned it went through but trusted that maybe something went wrong on their end. checked my account, was charged 2x, spoke to a manager “Leila ” who said she couldn’t fix it until a few days to see if the transaction stuck. said I didn’t have to come all the way back since I don’t live in the area. noticed today, both transactions went through and the phone # to this location doesn’t work. so now I’m going have to go all the way back and deal with the rude employees..avoid this location, go to arcadia, much nicer. never had this issue. this is exactly why I avoided it for so long.

They have different varieties of bread but they are all great choices. Their bread is very soft not hard like other bakeries. I got their sea salt coffee and never disappoints. The shop is very clean and every bread is prepackaged. I came around 930ish so the wait time for the lines wasn’t that busy. This bakery never disappoints everything they have is really good.

I really like the pastries at this shop. I dont know why the cashier today so mean to me？？？I didn’t ask her to do anything for me, just checkout but she seemed unable to tolerate anything. She treated my previous customer the same way. So I think this is a common situation, so why not change jobs?

Update: 02/07/26 I don’t recommend buying drinks at 85 Degrees.
Every drink I’ve tried has fallen short—either the boba is hard, or in this case, the “Strawberry Banana Smoothie” ($5.90) was nothing more than overly sweet, watery liquid.
Update: 07/19/25 I purchased two brioches which, regrettably, were not fresh and exhibited numerous black specks.
Additionally, I ordered a fruit tea with boba, but the bobas were already hardened which is particularly disappointing given the abundance of new boba establishments available today.

First time to come to this location. They have a good parking space in the back. The staff are friendly and very accomodating, they have good amount of bread varieties to choose from. The cakes are delicious and not too sweet. The store is very cosy, clean and spacious.

Amazing selection of bread and pastries. They also have coffee, tea and boba. The chocolate Ghirardelli sea salt is my favorite and highly recommended. They also have desserts and cakes that are made to perfection. Expect to spoil yourself when you’re here.
