And I wish I took a better picture of our meal but wanted to give a shout out to the rara lamb gosht. It was probably the most tender lamb we have ever eaten at an Indian restaurant. Butter nan and papadum were also excellent. And we loved that papadum was in the salad section : )
The portions were okay and the taste was good!
Though, main dishes were good BUT the naans and Rotis were not freshly made and definitely NOT ‘made in tandoor’, as they describe in their menu. They were literally like frozen or ready-to-eat superstore type naans.
very friendly staff, the only nit was having to ask for refills on water. Highly recommend, if we lived here we would go here a couple times a month for sure.
The garlic naan was dripping with butter (in the best way possible) and the rice was light, fluffy, and cooked perfectly. I also tried the goat vindaloo, my first time ever having goat and vindaloo, and it was a solid 10/10. So incredibly delicious and flavorful.
Portion sizes are generous, easily enough for two people. If you’re looking for truly authentic Indian food, I can’t recommend The Coriander enough. Absolutely amazing from start to finish.
We ordered-
1.Kids butter chicken rice- the butter chicken was bitter. It tasted like tomato puree with no taste of cream or any spices.
2. Prawn masala – average taste
3. Chicken Tikka masala – average taste
4. Tandoori roti- This was good because it wasn’t burnt like most other restaurants. It was big, soft and very well cooked.
Now let’s talk about the Malabari prawns — WOW. Mind-blowing is an understatement. Rich, aromatic, perfectly spiced, and cooked to tender perfection. Every bite was a flavor explosion that transported me straight to the Malabar coast.
We also had lamb, which was beautifully cooked and incredibly flavorful. To top it all off, the lassi yogurt drink was divine — creamy, refreshing, and the perfect balance to the spices of the meal.
From start to finish, everything was flawless. If you’re looking for authentic, delicious Indian cuisine that satisfies the soul, this is the place. Can’t wait to come back!
