So a few points:
1. The beef brisket had decent flavor, especially the fatty parts, but it was SO DRY
2. The collard greens weren’t good at all, I can’t even explain the taste…
3. The fries and toast was pretty solid, but being that I came for BBQ, those shouldn’t be the best things I’ve had that day.
I don’t have any complaints about the service or the cleanliness of the place though! They have plenty of other things in the menu that may be good, but it’s just that the ones that I ordered wasn’t it

Customer Service update: received a call within 15 minutes from the owner of the store who made everything right. Really appreciate him and the way he handled the situation and would give the business a second chance after my encounter with the owner. Upgraded review from 1-3 stars.
CHECK YOUR FOOD. TERRIBLE SERVICE. Management acts unacceptable. I ordered a salad for to go for lunch got back to my office, opened up my salad to find an entirely brown wilted salad with cheddar cheese that has been on the salad so long that it began to melt and cream onto the lettuce. Tomato is brown. Called the Manager and her exact words to me were well. It’s not my fault. I didn’t pull it out of the cooler. Then she let me know that she could not help me with a refund because it was an online order, which is absolutely ridiculous. Do not go here absolutely horrible restaurant terrible management.

I was driving with the family to Ft Lauderdale. It was lunchtime and we had just crossed the Florida line. We stopped at Willies and the food was amazing, especially the brisket. The corn fritters were great. They even had smoked turkey 1/4 for our miniature golden doodle.

Warning : if you order through their website online it will NOT inform you if they are out of anything. Plus, if you already paid for the meal, willie Jewels will not refund you your money back, the cashier and or manager (Kerri) doesn’t know the process and tells you you have contact the company that is being used at WJ’s to get your refund. The cashier was extremely Rude, stating,” we don’t refund, good luck, just because you order on our website doesn’t mean we’re responsible for refunding you the difference when we run out of food.” Manager had NO clue how to process a refund and was completely rude with skyTab agent trying to ascertain the status of the order in order to provide customer service. Something Kerri has no concept of. Agent have to advise her customer come first especially when you can’t fulfill an order. Recommend only calling or in-person,

Brisket is right on, loved all the four sauces, but the collard greens were so oversalted, couldn’t finish it. But ambiance was lovely. The cornbread was very soft and sweet. Quick in and out, just what we needed on our road trip.

I placed a Togo order and after being on hold for over 5 mins I finally was able to place an order. The lady was less than happy to be at work at all. Didn’t ask what sauces I wanted and I just kinda assumed they’d be some in the bag after I spent over 50 dollars of bland food. My order wasn’t even correct. No sauces. No flavor. Nothing. I live far so it’s not like I can run back up there. Disappointing.

From the moment we walked in we felt like locals. The staff was super friendly. The pulled pork and ribs were cooked right and a good size serving also. Try all the sauces from the sauce bar, good stuff.

I’ve tried 3 meat combo with coleslaw. It’s OK not great. Things turned me off was that they were asking tips when ordering and the cashier girl has attitude. One try is enough for me.

Let me just say I love Willie jewells in st Augustine… I was working in yulee today so I made a call in order at 1030 am for a 1115 pickup when I got their there was 5 ppl placing orders before me an was getting there food before me I told the man I had a call in an he had evidently forgot so I had to wait I always buy a gallon of lemonade I got the brisket sandwich on Texas toast that was not toasted the meat was cold the bake beans was cold an my lemonade wasn’t full very disappointed for 30.00 dollars it won’t allow me to put pics I took on here . So very disappointed!!!!
