Although the hibachi chef was great, the atmosphere felt off. First off, I had to ask to see the lunch menu. I thought that was weird being as it was lunch time, not dinner. When asked it was brought out to us, so I felt like they were hiding the fact they even had a lunch menu altogether which I didn’t appreciate. I understand lunch portions are smaller but when they ask if you would like shrimp or mushroom, be aware they will give you TWO shrimps Felt bamboozled to say the least. The chef was the most personable of the whole experience, so he did save my experience from being completely ruined I’ll say. The restroom is a mess for an upscale dining experience, not sure why they would leave it looking like this but please do better!!

I spent $31 dollars for a dinner size shrimp fried rice, I asked him before I purchased the shrimp fried rice, would it be enough to feed 2 people he said yes. I also wanted to purchase the bone in wings, garlic and butter flavor, and the chicken egg rolls, neither were in stock. He explained everything about the chicken egg roll and they had none? I am so disappointed, we were gonna plan a football party here because it’s beautiful, staff was the absolute best ,very wonderful vibe, but the food potion was a deal breaker, dang. Oh, we did meet an amazing customer, got her number, that part was amazing, to bad, we really enjoyed the restaurant. My name is Chef B, and the food portion is disrespectful for $31 dollars, we won’t be back

I’ve been coming to Nakama since the day it opened. I love it. Usually just sit at the bar, but I’ve had a lot of fun in their dining area watching the extremely talented and fun hibachi chefs do their magic. The food is fantastic and the drinks are always fun and tasty.
They recently remodled too, about 2 years ago.

It was my girlfriends birthday and as we were driving down Carson Street she noticed this place and picked it out. Wasn’t too busy for it being 2pm on a Saturday, so that was nice, but oh myyy as soon as you walked in you could smell the wonderful food cooking.

We were seated over by one of the many grills as we wanted to see the food cooked. A little dim lighted by our area so it was a tad bit hard to fully read the menu. Waitress was prompt and took our drink orders (and very prompt on refills) and in the meantime a few others guests were seated by us. Excellent service to them as well and with that she also got our food order.

A few minutes after everyone had ordered, our Chef Louie, arrived and introduced himself. Louie started off with a nice fire display to heat up the grill and get us all into that hibachi setting. Louie was very talkative and insightful about everything I and the others had asked about. He put on a wonderful display and even threw on a nice fire display in his chefs hat for my girlfriends birthday, which we both thought was awesome.

Food was absolutely superb and cooked to perfection. Spicy chicken egg rolls were mouth watering and the sushi was elegantly made and wonderfully displayed on the plate, and tasted fantastic.

Awesome experience!!!! Great family atmosphere for my wife and 3 children! We were in Pittsburgh for AAU basketball tournament. Best sushi and hibachi we’ve had in years if not best ever! Our server was the best, polite and courteous right on time what ever we needed. Our Hibachi chef the best we’ve ever had food wise, skill wise and companionship conversation wise. We had a blast! Highly recommended!

Very disappointed with the take out from Nakama. The food tastes good, yes, but THIS for $40???? 4 of us got the exact same thing, it was $160 and each had this same amount of food. This was the triple combo (chicken, steak, shrimp) PLUS a shrimp appetizer. It is infuriating to get gypped just because you’re ordering take out. If I received this while at the restaurant I would be asking where the rest of my meal was. I would absolutely not recommend getting take out hibachi from this location.

I spent $40 on nothing. They served me a lunch portion when I asked for a dinner portion. My meal did not come with salad or soup. Since when doesn’t hibachi come with salad or soup? My noodles tasted bland. They charge 0.75 cents for extra yum yum sauce… would they have charged me had I been in person? I received 2 baby broccoli stems and 3 pieces of zucchini. When I called to inquire about the decreased portion, the hostess was helpless. She didn’t offer to allow me to speak with a manager, nor did she offer to make things right. She just defended the cooks. I get it, the pandemic impacted everyone, but unless you get your acts together this place won’t survive for much longer. I will not be returning! If you’re looking for good and consistent hibachi, check out Ichiban in Robinson. They give you a lot for a little! I’m so upset that I tipped the hostess $5. She was definitely undeserving!!! The picture looks like more than it is because I purchased a side of noodles, but trust me when I say I was robbed of $40!!!
