On a visit from NY I saw Chino Latino and decided to give them a shot. Reviews were mixed but I gave them a try anyway and I was not disappointed. It’s not every day you can have mofongo and general tos chicken together. Food was fresh, hot, and tasty.

The best monfogo in that area…. the boneless spare ribs well clean(not much fat) and served in a great timing, unless you’re coming out of Busch Gardens/Adventure Island at closing time, everyone stops there so it’ll be a little crowded, other than that, its definitely the spot to go on weekends or after a crazy park day.

Used to be my favorite “Puerto Rican Chinese” restaurant but today I made an order and the taste and flavor is not the same. I don’t know if they got new management but is not the same flavor as before. I ordered crab rangoons and they were empty, the egg rolls were overcooked and tasted frozen and the mofongo was not very good. I wasted $60 for a family order.

Lifelong tampa resident, grew up riding past this place on a near daily basis wondering if the food was good. Finally stopped…… my picky family of 7+ left happy. Like the waffle house of Chinese food gotta love tampa 813

Portions were generous, prices fair, and the staff actually care. This isn’t just your average takeout joint—this is that “go-to” spot you keep coming back to. NYC approved, no question. (P.3 Chuletas/ roast pork fried rice.

I ordered the fried rice with half chicken- The rice was really good. The chicken, however, was extremely dry and the skin tasted a little weird. I just picked what I could and ate what I could.
This is the second time it happens and I ordered it thinking the first time was a fluke. My husband got the bourbon chicken- again, the rice was really good and the sauce was also tasty, but the chicken itself was also dry. I live about 35 mins away otherwise I would’ve brought it back.

I ordered bistic de palomilla with onions and got pepper steak which I am not a fan of. When I informed the lady she simply said that is what they consider bistec pallomia. Even after I point out the picture of the pepper steak and showed her my food that was the same steak only not cut up she just laughed and said that’s how we do.

Writing this review so people think twice about ordering from here because I went off reviews to chose this place and I have no idea what Chinese food people were eating that they thought this place was good.
$40 for the dry general tasó, the nastiest carne frita (not carne frita at all), empty crab Rangoon and what tasted like frozen egg rolls.
And to top it all off, babe found a long hair in his rice

New Updated Review:
Quality and flavor has definitely gone down the hill. We ordered mofongo con pollo al ajillo and we got bland food on a butter pool (picture for reference). Boneless spare ribs had a lot of fat and chewy inedible pieces. Rice was just ok. Very unfortunate because this was one of my very favorite places to eat Puertorican Chinese.

Old Review:
If you like Puertorican Chinese food this is the place to go. Me and my family (about 15 people) went and everyone ordered something different. Everyone tried a little bit of everything and I can’t say something I didn’t like. Food is fresh and made to order. Prices are super reasonable too for the amount of food you get.
