This is a great place for a meal! They get their beef from DemKota so everything is from less than 250-miles away. They also have their own smokehouse, a true bonus in my opinion.
I was there for a business lunch so no mid-day cocktails are included in this review. There were 3 of us at the table. To my left ordered a salad that looked pretty substantial. To my right ordered what I planned to order so I simply told the waiter to make it 2.
My lunch was their hot brisket sandwich with mashed potatoes and gravy. The brisket is right out of their smoker and has a great flavor to it. Mashed potatoes were a bit lumpy to ensure you know they’re real and the gravy was rich and velvety. Comfort food was EXACTLY the right choice after being outside for an hour or so with temperatures in the teens.
Service was good. Food was great!

Mavericks Steak & Cocktails is a must-visit for steak lovers! I ordered the baseball cut sirloin, and it was absolutely delicious—tender, juicy, and grilled to perfection. The flavor was outstanding, and the portion size was just right.
I also had the garlic onion potatoes, and they were fantastic—creamy, flavorful, and a perfect complement to the steak. Every bite of the meal was satisfying and well-prepared.
The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with a perfect blend of upscale and comfortable. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better.
If you’re looking for a place that serves quality steaks, flavorful sides, and excellent service, Mavericks delivers. I’ll definitely be coming back!

We stopped by here on our way to North Dakota and I’m so glad we did. The walleye is amazing! My whole table had the Pan fried walleye. My sweet potato fries were sweet and crispy and the cheese burger soup was amazing.
The lobby was clean and the service was fast and friendly. I’m so glad we stopped here. My whole experience was fantastic.

This was our first visit there. We were in town for a sporting event and chose to give Maverick’s a try for lunch. The food was good, but my husband’s steak was more medium than rare. For the price of his meal, we would have preferred to have his steak rare as ordered. The order was put in correctly as it came with the Rare marker in the steak, it just wasn’t. However it was very flavorful, and my husband loved the loaded baked potato. The onion rings were perfect as was my son’s cowboy burger. He truly loved how big the pickle slices were. My meal was perfect, a medium Maverick steak, perfection. The fries were some of the best I’ve had at a steakhouse. Service was good, for Noon it seemed our server was busy with a lot of tables so water refills were very limited. We would definitely return if we are in town again. Definitely worth a second chance.

Ordered a medium steak, and a skilled veterinarian could still have revived it.
It wasn’t just rare. It was BLUE. Or extra rare. Seared on the outside, purely raw on the inside and it was like chewing a rubber band.
Terrible food. My friends both ordered steaks and one was way under done and one was well done after asking for medium.
Just gross. Huge disappointment.

I Was terribly disappointed. I ordered the ribeye. I got a half inch hunk of cow slapped on a plate with no flavor. I would not have thought of buying that at a store. It was over cooked it was so thin. Ordered medium rare impossible to achieve in a restaurant when the meat is so thin. The baked potato wasn’t even good. The best part of the meal was the martini

Wow you really need to train your cooks how to properly temp a steak. You are a STEAK restaurant. Not once have I gotten the temp I ordered, and today I was with 3 other people and you managed to screw up 4 people’s steaks…both too done and not done enough. Ordered medium, got rare. Not even close. Wife ordered mid rare, got medium well. Friend ordered rare, got medium. None of them were even CLOSE.
You are a STEAK restaurant.
You MUST know how to temp a steak.
And it wasn’t just our table. Other people were heard talking about their steaks being wrong when we were at the gun show.
Get it together.
Also, what is with your specialty drink menu?

First time at the Aberdeen location-Atmosphere was nice definitely good place to hang out and enjoy a meal. Service was incredible (bartender with the beard-thank you ) however, my fries were soggy from the juice of the steak, my dinner roll was hard and as you can see in the pictures, I received a rotten tomato in my salad. ♀️ on a positive note, the steak was delicious. However, the rest of the meal was sadly tossed. For a $40 meal I was definitely let down.

Went to go have lunch and they weren’t busy and it was very very slow service. I was very disappointed because I only get back to town once a year maybe. Was hoping to have some good food but I can’t believe it took 15 mins to get waited on. Didn’t even get our drinks yet . Sat down and she took our drinks order and waited on someone else and we sat there another 10 mins before we walked out.
