This visit, Brussels sprouts as the opening act I chose — fantastic, they were. Crisp edges, rich flavor, and seasoned with the wisdom of a culinary master, hmm.
Still a phenomenal destination for plant-powered adventurers — vegan and vegetarian choices stretch across the menu like constellations in a clear night sky. The custom black & bleu Beyond burger, the truffle tots, the noble cheese curds — each dish, a victory.
Canine hero portraits watch over the dining hall like guardians of good taste. The tap list? Abundant and diverse, a friendly gathering of brews worthy of a weary traveler.
Service remains fast and attentive. Atmosphere, warm and quirky. Saved to favorites this shall stay — for strong in the plant-based Force, Stray Dog continues to be.

I’ve been to the Stray Dog many times as a vegan. I was pleasantly surprised that the menu has been expanded! It was so delicious. The pretzel sticks with vegan cheese was so yummy. The vegan boneless wings were on point, with vegan blue cheese too. I have always loved their selection of vegan burgers: my pick the other night was the BBQ. Yummy!

Love this place! One side of the menu is traditional (sandwiches, burgers, wings,etc.) and the flip side of the menu is identical but with all options vegetarian. Brilliant! Fun ambiance also. Lots of great dog themed decor.

I liked the green marvel burger because it wasn’t dry and because of the caramelized onions. It was flavorful, a bit messy, but overall a hit. I didn’t really like the spicy margarita but I loved the decor though out with all the doggy details. We utilized street parking on our visit Saturday afternoon and the service was fast and friendly.

Great food, the vegan chicken wings were delicious! Burgers were great too. Between the bourbon burger and the Mushroom Swiss burger, I’d recommend the Mushroom Swiss burger if you’d like a more salty and savory tasting burger rather than sweet and tangy.

First of all- their food is amazing. I always order the beyond bourbon brown. 6/10 times, they always give me beef and bacon instead of the vegan option I select. Usually, I check for accuracy because it’s such a frequent issue. However, it’s always the times I don’t think to check it’s wrong. Good luck getting in touch with someone on the phone, because their automated system is designed to keep you from talking to an employee, and it drives you to leave a message. Super sad, but I won’t be returning because I’m out of my time and money. They really need to figure out their technology.

They have a large selection of vegan options, which was the draw for coming here.
We chose:
Veggie Chilaquilies- it was OK. The flavor was all right but it was a few large chips with some sloppy chili and toppings. The just eggs on top were excellent. It was weird that the shredded cheese wasn’t even close to being melted.
Beyond PB & Bacon- this burger was out of this world. We ordered it vegan. Peanut butter, egg, vegan bacon and maple syrup on a croissant bun. OMG it was so good.
Did not care for the pre-charge that was added to our bill for using a credit card. We paid in cash and didn’t have time to wait around for a credit. It’s not much but that’s not the point, especially when you pay $18 for a burger.
This is a great spot to eat if you’re near the U of MN campus. Super cute vibe inside.

Love stray dog!! As a vegan they have a really great selection that makes my partner and I want to keep coming back. We’ll be back again the next time we’re in Minneapolis for sure.
