I had a great experience at this Taco John’s. The restaurant was clean and the staff was incredibly nice. Even though they were busy with another task, someone behind the counter quickly stopped what they were doing to acknowledge me and ask if I needed help before I even made it to the register. That level of attentiveness and customer service was truly appreciated. I will definitely be back!

Nice and clean. Possibly new? I haven’t taco John’s since I’ve been to Iowa probably more than 20 years ago so definitely a surprise to see this one here.
Onto the food. I got nachos and a steak burrito. The nachos were good looking as they used three different colors for chips but literally tasted like I was eating those nachos with the squirt on cheese and chili that you get at a gas station. I mean I guess it makes sense because this place is connected to a gas station. The steak burrito was just so bland and unjuicy if that’s even a word. I guess I should have gotten salsa maybe and squirted inside because it was so dry inside. I will never get that food again. I might as well save a little bit of money and get gas station food which is right there anyway and be just a satisfied with the experience

Had two crispy tacos, bean burrito and tots. They were all cold and unapetizing like they were made yesterday and sat overnight. Maybe because it’s a holiday and they’re like WTH. But won’t be wasting my money here again.

I got the breakfast bowl this morning. Very tasty but to many potatoes, not enough eggs. Seasoning was very good. I got their super burrito this evening with no beans. Asked for a bit more sour cream. 4 cheese quesadilla with ground beef was very good, very filling. Didn’t have room for the burrito yet. But had them before. No complaints. Beef could use a little more seasoning.

Not my first time having this issue with them at the Jacksonville Location whether it be them not getting the order correct or the items being cooked. A simple cheese quesadilla that isn’t even cooked is quite unbelievable..

For a taco place inside of a gas station rest stop this place was great. Super clean, everybody was very friendly, and the food was delicious. Just we needed halfway through our nine hour journey. Nice to find clean friendly places with good food along the highway!

Im giving such a high review due to one young lady. I stop here a lot and she is always at the counter with a smile and a greeting. When she’s not there she’s cleaning. I don’t know what her name is but the young black girl should definitely be paid more for continuously bringing back customers for the job she does.

First time at taco John.
I had the boss chicken burrito.
Honestly it’s a little better then Taco Bell.
The tots were good.
I felt like they needed better sauces.
They only had mild and hot.
Which both tasted the same.
But it was quick and it was made fresh.
So 4 stars.
Always room for improvement.

Amazing food, missing item in order.
I highly recommend the boss bowl. Plenty of meat in every bite, great flavor, not too spicy. They did not give the side of potatoes like we ordered, was pretty disappointed about that.
