I enjoyed lunch at SEAK with my best friend Big Joe and the experience was excellent from start to finish.

We ordered a variety of dishes, and everything was on point. The wings were banging, perfectly seasoned and cooked just right. The Thai Chicken Satay—seared skewers with soy, sesame, and garlic—was flavorful and tender. We also loved the Grilled Garlic Shrimp Summer Rolls, made with gulf shrimp, mint, vermicelli, and spring mix—light, fresh, and delicious.

SEAK is a Vietnamese and Thai fusion restaurant with a modern Asian-fusion menu, and the food truly reflects that balance of bold and refreshing flavors. A major plus is that it’s BYOB, so we shared a bottle of wine while taking in the beautiful views of the Hudson River and the NYC skyline, which made lunch feel extra special.

Great food, great vibes, scenic views—SEAK is definitely a spot I’ll return to.

I’m honestly shocked this place wasn’t packed because the food at SEAK was incredible! You all know l’m a Thai food lover, so l had to check out Seak Southeast Asian Kitchen and let me tell you, it did not disappoint. The flavors were bold, fresh, and absolutely unforgettable. Both the food and the service were a 10/10 across the board.
My favorite dish? The Thai Curry Mussels….
THAT sauce was pure magic! * I’ll definitely be back soon because this spot deserves all the love and attention. #fashionandfood #edgewater #southeastasianfood

The place has ample seating. We had no wait time , we were seated right away.
They have a view of the river and Skycraper of New York City.
The staff are friendly and effecient.
I thought the cafe would have been sweet because of condense milk. Not sweet at all.
The massaman curry was a bit on the watery side and not that flavorfull.Otherwise the rest of the dishes were good.

Just ate here for the first time and have to say I am really impressed.

Appetizer: Banh Mi Fries
These were so crispy and so tasty and the sriracha mayo it came with was great.
Entrees: Chicken Kao Pad & Tofu Pad Kee Mao
This rice was absolutely perfect. Great amount of spice, Great amount of flavor. I ordered it with extra scallions and it was so good. The tofu was really tasty and i loved the bean sprouts and the drunken noodles.
Dessert: Xango Fried Cheesecake
So Good. I was so full at the end of the meal and contemplated ordering another. Cheesecake tasted not too sweet and the ice cream was a really good compliment.

Will for sure be coming back and telling family and friends about this place. Thank you Seak!!

Came on a slow day where we were the only diners so keep that in mind, but the service was really great and so was the food. The portions look deceptively small but it was very good and filling! Their banh mi fries were the highlight of the meal, but all the dishes we got were delicious and the drinks were good, too. I’d definitely come back here as my friend is already a loyal customer here 🙂

PS: I also really love their Thai iced tea, it’s not very sweet and goes really well with their desserts.

It’s 2025, and Asian-fusion fare is the name of the game. Their dishes often incorporate ingredients from multiple culinary traditions, offering diverse flavors, modern twists on traditional dishes, and visually stunning presentations that appeal to adventurous patrons.

Opened since 2017, we have made a return for lunch after 3 years. Located off of River Road along the picturesque waterfront in Edgewater, SEAK (Southeast Asian Kitchen) is a Vietnamese and Thai fusion restaurant.

Upon entering, my partner and I were greeted by the staff and got a table inside a trendy Brooklyn industrial vibe, with the restaurant’s modern, eclectic decor and a fabulous view of Upper Manhattan. Outdoor seating is also available during warmer weather.

Their Viet-Thai menu features the classic pho, chili-salted chicken wings, pad thai, and banh mi frites.

We decided on the Singapore Curry Noodles with Chicken and Pad See Ew with Tofu. The food came out quickly. The portions looked deceptively small, but it was authentic, tastefully delicious, and filling. The service was consistent and attentive. The price was comparable to the area.

This isn’t the kind of place that gets a lot of foot traffic. They are banking on impressing you to the point where you want to come back, which we can continue to recommend.

Great experience. Went on a Friday evening it was very busy. There was a wait for outside seating but the inside had no wait. We were say promptly. Waitress was super nice Nicole. She didn’t rush our order also she gave good suggestions based on what she had tasted. The food was very reasonable in comparison to NYC. We had a variety of spring rolls. The Mango and avocado was super refreshing the grilled shrimp was nice. The Bahia mi sandwiches were amazing. The special bowl was great to. Definitely worth it to come smoke parking in the strip mall parking lot. Beautiful view of the city as well.

Not going back again despite my multiple visits in the past. Today’s experience was overly disappointing. We ordered the mango salad and chili salted chicken wings as appetizers and the tofu khee mao and chicken red curry as mains. The chicken wings seemed old as they were too dried up and too salty. When we received the khee mao, there was no basil inside and of course when I tried a noodle, it didn’t taste like the usual khee mao with the kick of spicyness and the basil taste. I told the server and he said this is how khee mao is and it’s the only noodle dish on their menu with Chinese broccoli (there was no basil even though it was included in the menu description). Now I’ve already had khee mao at SEAK before and I knew it tasted different this time, it tasted more like pad see ew so I told him it doesn’t taste like the khee mao. He offered to take it back to the kitchen for them to redo the sauce if they used the wrong sauce and when the dish came back, it only got darker in color and still tasted nothing like khee mao. The red curry also did not taste like authentic Thai red curry. Staff there are all placed weirdly, there was only one guy who was serving the guests occasionally and the rest of the staff all stay towards the bar near the entrance, dancing and singing along to the music and not being attentive to diners looking to grab their attention. We ended up only taking several bites of our food and asked for to-go boxes to take back home so we can recook them at home to make it taste better.

Incredible Thai food. Best I’ve ever tried. It’s very rare to find a place like this. The chicken pad tai, the Singapore noodles, and the summer rolls are spectacular. The food comes very quick and they deliver too (which is also quick). You should definitely come here.
