Willie’s was a pleasant surprise. It’s a walk up window and the food is made to order. They have a sign alerting you that it may take ten to fifteen minutes depending on size of order. That is a minimal time to wait for hot fresh catfish.
The menu is small, put yet it is plentiful. I am a fan of catfish and like mine served as fritters aka nuggets. So my order was Catfish Nuggets and Fries. WOW! The amount of nuggets was huge and the crinkle fries were the perfect amount for a side dish. The seasoned breading on the fish was crispy and extremely flavorful.
As stated, it’s just a walk up window in a tiny building on a small parking lot. The service was welcoming and very helpful. I stood and waited for my order, but others went back to their cars and when their order was ready, the young lady walked them out to their cars.
Willie’s Hot Fish is black and locally owned. So when I need to get my catfish fix (which is weekly), I will be returning and I recommend you go to.

Buffalo was over cooked and was supposed to come with 2 sides. There was no bread and one of the sides was missing (frys). Chicken wings were very greasie, onion rings and hushpuppies was the only thing edible. Sad to say we won’t go back.

I got the catfish nuggets and potato salad. Some of the best fish I’ve ever had, and the potato salad was exactly the kind I was hoping for. The prices are standard, but it was a lot of fish. Two people could split it for lunch. Best fish in town and the service was very friendly!
