One of the worst experience I’ve ever had in any restaurant. We walked in around 7:30 pr 7:35 PM. The server created us right away, she took about 15 min to comeback with the drinks we ordered. It took her another 15 min to bring the water we ordered at the same time. There was only 6 tables inside the restaurant. It took another 40 minutes for the food to arrive, and both our plates didn’t even come out together. We decided to order dessert when the server bought the second plate. The size of the meal are smaller than before and its overpriced. 20 minutes later we get it, by then my wife was mad at the lack of management and the lack of help in the kitchen. The to go boxes that were bought had a small roach in it.

I’ve been here twice and the food is amazing. At first you wouldn’t think anything of the place because it has a small store inside, but this place is a pure treasure that should be experienced. The wait for the food could be a bit, and the servers are a bit hard to get a hold of, but completely worth the portion and flavor. I’ll he honest, the customer service is lacking, but the food easily supercedes those feelings. Saturday night was karaoke night and the guy hosting it could have his own record. Great food and good time with the right people.

As a person of Peruvian descent, I wasn’t disappointed by the food. The service needs a lot of work. I think they need to hire more waitresses and some that can at least speak a little English. Enough to be able to take someone’s order as my party had difficulty. I’ve had better chaufa in the past. The tallerin saltado wasn’t bad either. My pisco sour had way too much foam. It’s fine for Peruvian food in Kendall but there are better places in Miami with better food and service.

Terrible experience at La Bodega this past Sunday around 1pm. The place was a complete mess. Only one waitress was working, and she was drowning — service was painfully slow. We had to grab our own menus because no one bothered. The woman at the counter couldn’t even greet us properly; instead, she barked in a rude tone, “What do you want?”
Meanwhile, kids were running wild, slamming into our table while staff did nothing. Drinks took forever, food took even longer, and when it finally came, one of the plates had a hair in it. Completely unacceptable.
Between the chaos, the attitude, and the unsanitary food, this was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had in Miami. Definitely won’t be coming back.

Food is really good at this restaurant, if you can order TO GO then go for it, if not just make sure there is enough personal working, we had to wait almost 15 minutes before one of the only 2 waitress working on a Saturday afternoon take our order, the waiting time for the food wasn’t that bad, but it was really sad to see the how the waitress were struggling with all the tables and the orders, management at this place should totally change, we had to stand up of our table to get some utensils, then to ask for some tartar sauce, once again to ask for the ice we asked for 15 minutos ago… not only us but everybody at the restaurant was walking around trying to get what they needed, last but not least we had to make a line to pay because once again the poor two waitress were on charge of charging and dealing with to go orders and people grabbing some stuff from their little shop, it was a chaos!.
The tip is always included at this place even though sometimes attention is horrible(that day I was glad the tip was included and we left some extra, they were working so hard and doing what they could running around with the orders) and if you are paying with a card they charge you extra… a week later I called to place an order to pick up since I learned my lesson… I got there and had to wait al least half an hour for them to have my order ready a small order 3 Lurin Breakfast. h
Hopefully the owner put someone with more knowledge in the industry on charge before is to late

The fried yucca appetizer was the best I’ve ever had to start off. Then we both ordered our food and not only was it hot and fresh but was well prepared. The Mashpotatoe and chicken was really filling . I reccomend giving this place a shot.

Checked it out as it was recommended… the Food was great but left very disappointed w/ the service.
Didn’t seem overly busy… Took over 30mins to take our order, brought the ceviche first and was atleast another 15min for the older waitress to notice we needed something and bring the silverware smh ♀️ oh well.. I wasnt in a hurrry so wanted to see how long it took them. The two younger waitresses seemed very uninterested and slow. Unfortunately I Prob wont be back unless its for takeout.
