We had tacos and a beer after riding the scenic gondola on a Friday in August. There was no wait to order and plenty of outdoor seating was available. The tacos were good although a little pricey but this is at a resort so we expected that. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was glorious.

Here’s the deal, we were early for our Farm to Mountain ($300 for 2) reservations at the Summit House and wandered in for a drink. The nachos at the cantina ($20) were the best thing we ate all night by a mile. Actual queso, juicy and super flavorful chicken (seriously, gimme the recipe) fresh salsa and toppings.

I remember the pizza at the top of forrest queen in 2022 was so delicious top tier food, now pizza is at the new structure at tge bottom, the pizza is like school lunch food, bread is doughy and undercooked, the soups are delicious tho stick to that, and yea the mountain doesn’t take cash any more so probably not going to be purchasing anything from here any longer, pack a lunch and bring a bottle,

The breakfast burrito !!! Also, the girl running the till was very friendly and kept things moving even with lots of stuff going on. The fireside aspect doesn’t really keep you that warm tho!! Been in the teens this week!
