Came here for the first time after an appointment. Food came out very fast and tasted great. Didn’t really care to be sitting inches from others when most of the restaurant was empty.
Girlfriend said it best, “The food was great, but the service sucked.” Our ser was very inattentive and even charged us for a mimosa that she forgot to bring out. I had gotten at one point, trying to find her to remind her about the mimosas, but couldn’t find her. When she brought the check, we pointed it out and she tried to bring one out, but we were already done.
The price was great for the quality of the food.

My family came here for brunch before a few of our family members had to catch their flights to return home. Our food was very good. Service was EXCELLENT! The manager even noticed us trying to get a group shot and came over right away to offer to take the picture for us!
I got the Nova Lox eggs and fresh fruit and a side of sausage-which you can see my father trying to steal, haha!
My brother got an amazing bloody Mary so I figured I would get one too. But mine was way worse than his was. His actually tasted great. Mine tasted like nothing but pepper, water and lime and it was awful. Definitely not worth the $13 I paid for it. My food was excellent however and we were very happy with the service and being able to visit with each other. I would return again!

Went in with a reservation and waiting at the front desk for a couples minutes and then we were told by an older lady ‘that they were going to see if they can find a table for us’. She then came back minutes later and with a condescending tone she said “we found a table for you, are you happy?” Other than the rude hostess, the food was good and service was not bad.

I was looking for a dinner with decent prices. We were pleasantly surprised with how elegant it looked. The food and presentation were wonderful. I highly recommend their jams. I had the create your own omelette. I was curious about other menu items. Mainly after, Megan, our server, took the time to highlight some other menu items. We were happy with our breakfast decision.

We dined on a Sunday morning with 7 adults, 6 kids, and a baby. They were so accommodating and even plated a shared dish for 3 kids so we didn’t have to split it up ourselves at the table. Our server (I think her name was Chloe) was absolutely incredible and handled our large group with ease! Not a single dish came out wrong. She was patient and attentive, a big task for a party our size with wiggly little people. My daughter gets the Stuffed French Toast every.single.time and it’s a must try. I love their quiche that changes each day, or an egg scramble with broccoli and cheese and potatoes on the side. Definitely a great place to grab breakfast all day and has a large variety of options for breakfast or lunch.

The bar lounge had the BEST atmosphere! Angie was the bartender, and she provided excellent service. Food was served hot and fresh. The biscuits and gravy came with a side of eggs and potatoes. Delicious!

Absolutely incredible breakfasts! The apple pie waffles are a weekend treat and well worth the visit! Fresh and modern inside, fantastic service and reasonable prices especially for what you get. Don’t skip the challah stuffed french toast!!!

This place was remodeled from the last time I was there years ago. The atmosphere is great. Has a modern feel. The food was good. I had a sandwich and it was delicious. The service was prompt and friendly. We all enjoyed our meal. The only thing was some of our silver wear was a little spotty and one knife was not clean. But it happens I. Restaurants so it wasn’t too much of a bother to us. Over all I would go back.

Our visit to Uptown Kitchen was well worth it, despite a considerably long wait due to staffing shortage on the day we stopped in. The staff was definitely feeling the burden (like many service workers in these difficult times), but they did their best to accommodate everyone. On the plus side, we ended up with Jonathan, the owner, as our personal server and he treated us very well with some of the best food during our stay in South Bend. It was truly terrific, not just because we were hungry. Their menu does not disappoint. I would highly recommend giving them your business and enjoying a lovely brunch or lunch meal next time you’re in the area. And remember to tip your server well. 😉
