Horrible experience. We waited over 30 minutes in a stall for 2 food items and one drink to come out. Had to call the store to get them to bring it out. After calling, it took less than a minute for them to bring it out – meaning our food had been sitting there for however long. Upon bringing our food out, the male employee said that “next time, if it’s taking awhile to get our food out, we need to wave down a carhop so they can check on it for us.” This, to us, seemed like he was avoiding responsibility for forgetting our order, and making it on us. A simple apology for the delay would have been just fine. If you really want to go to Sonic – make the drive to Texoma Parkway. I will not be returning.

The quality of the food at both of the Gainesville Sonic locations has really declined recently. I’m not sure if it’s new owners/managers or what the issue is. I can always count on the fries being cold and the burgers being made wrong. Request mustard on a chili cheese dog, and they will drown it with mustard. Getting condiments, mints and napkins have been hit and miss. And when they had the corn dog special last week (which went up from 50 cents to a dollar each), they were completely out of mustard. How do you run out of mustard, especially on that day. The Sonic locations in the surrounding towns don’t seem to have these issues, so it’s not an issue with the chain. It started with the location on California Street. It got so bad we stopped going there. Now the problem has spread to the Grand Avenue location. Oh, and if you use the app and you tip, just select the option to “keep the change”, which just rounds up your total to the next whole dollar. If you select “no tip”, and then just give them a few dollars in cash, you can be sure you’ll be missing napkins, condiments, mints or something. So save a few dollars and get better service by just tipping the few cents on the app.

No one answered the drive through, after about five minutes we went to a spot. No one answered there, either. After about five minutes we placed a mobile order. After about five minutes we nabbed a poor car hop who got our order for us. It was not warm. She was kind but certainly not “fast food”! We were there 25 minutes total.

If you are in a hurry I’d suggest going somewhere else. They do not get into any kind of hurry, and if you’re doordashing you should probably decline the order. I just waited over 10 minutes for a Rt 44 Dr. Pepper when there were only 2 other customers. Not to mention the manager will get rude if you complain.

Waited 40 minutes for a bacon toaster and this is what I got. Cold bread with a piece of cheese that wasn’t even melted and a tiny piece of bacon. What a waste of my time and money! Y’all really gotta do something with this store because this is completely unacceptable. This isnt the first time I’ve had issues here, but this is the last because I’m not coming back. Ridiculous

I won’t be going to a Sonic again. I paid cash for my meal and the DRIVE THRU asked me again if I wanted my change!! You’re a drive thru, since when am I expected to tip at a drive thru?!?! This has happened at 2 different locations now. I’m done.

The food was so nasty I couldn’t even eat it. It looked like they scrapped the grill and put it in my burrito. There was so much black grease coming from the bottom. Just looking at it made me nauseous. My tater tots were cold and stale. So I didn’t even eat my food. The Dr pepper I had was good though. ♀️ The service was OK. The guy had to come out and take my order cause the thing was not working. I understand that was not his fault. I also had to have the girl that brought my order go in and use my card. Cause the machine was not working. ♀️ I could not leave a tip. They were nice and friendly. But the food was so nasty looking. I don’t think I’ll be back
