I went looking for their advertised pulled pork nachos. And was told they were only on special the other day. Come to learn that was not true. They were supposed to be available and they called them “this new favorite” for a great cost of $10.50.
So I opted for an appetizer of some walleye fingers at $15.00. NOT IMPRESSED with the 4 half pieces and 2 full. The best part of the entire experience was the French fries. They were very tasty. Although, the menu didn’t state they were seasoned. Good for me, yum, but my 4 yr old nephew, whom they were primarily for would have none of those burnt fries. Also, he ended spilling his drink all over his lap and the floor because nobody bothered to put a cover on the kiddie drink with a regular sized straw, perfect for little arms to catch on and tip it.
Also, I commented on their Facebook page about being told the nachos were not available after I drove an hour to get them, and they deleted my comment.
I will say, there was one young man, probably 13-16 years old, who was running back and forth from the kitchen, which is in another building across the grounds, to the bar/dining area with great speed and effort.

We had dinner May 25 Sunday. Our waitress was great (it was her 1st day) but sadly the food service was painfully slow. She was at the mercy of the kitchen. The apps came out quick, but we waited an hour for our dinner to only have it come out missing a whole pizza we ordered. We had to sit an additional 30 min for that to arrive. We just boxed it up and were done. There were a few other tables complaining of the long wait and it was not super crowded that Sunday.
The food was alright. Best part was the walleye app. Pizzas and the chicken wrap were ok. Appledorns used to have the best homemade ranch, but we paid extra for what tasted store bought. It was not good.
All in all, the atmosphere was great. Relaxed lake vibe, but the slow service made the experience not relaxed.

Long waits for food, you need to hire faster cooks and friendlier waiters. The food was good, but the 1-hour wait and the poor service make you not want to come back

We had to wait over an hour and a half for our food. The waitress did not explain the menu correctly even after being asked. Some of the food arrived cold. Staff was rude and implied it was our fault for not making prior reservations.
