Windows open with a cool summer breeze, a cozy atmosphere with soft lighting, curated meals by the chef, and excellent service over a few glasses of wine. The Anchor Room – a wine bar/shop subset of Topside Bar and Grill – is not to be missed. We found this place by accident and it was the best decision of our weekend. Compliments to Rob and Chef Jeff for a lovely evening. We’ll be back.

What a wonderful experience my friends and I enjoyed together!
The inside was tasteful and beautifully decorated.
There was a good variety of wine selections along with a fun “continent feature of the month” we are looking forward to April which is Australian wine.
The Rob’s working were so kind and knowledgeable!
Overall 10/10 experience and anticipating our next visit as this will remain a rotation for our wine nights!
Also, the Muhammad’s spread pictures below is/was addicting!

As if Topside Bar and Grill couldn’t add another masterful food and beverage staple to their line up, think again. The Anchor Room boasts an inviting and chic wine bar experience that continues to capitalize on Top Side’s nautical theme. The Anchor Room is tucked away in a separate location that is accessible via stairs on Wilkes street, or behind the Coffee cabin and spa.
Enjoy a glass or flight from a curated menu of local, French or Italian wines. There is also a large selection of bottles that aren’t featured on the menu, that may be bought and opened in store or taken home to enjoy. The Anchor Room excels at providing a personalized, quieter experience compared to the main restaurant, with the same if not better dedicated service, and quality of food. The food menu is much smaller, and explores an adventurous palette that compliments any glass of wine you may choose. Of course, wine pairing staples like the charcuterie board are still offered with it’s own personal flair.
Overall, very thankful to have a cozy yet elevated spot to enjoy a glass of wine while still enjoying the breathtaking views of the Sound. Be sure to check it out!

My 2nd time here, this place is 10/10. There are so many wine bottles to choose from and they let you try samples. The owners are very nice and have great recommendations. The chef is not available on Sundays but you can order from the Topside restaurant and have them bring it to the wine room. I highly recommend this place for any wine lovers

This hidden gem offers a stunning view of Puget Sound and a dining experience that’s both elevated and inviting. Indulge in the Braised Pork Cheek with tteok-bokki, perfectly paired with cheese and a rich, spicy broth and delicious wine. Whether you’re here for the flavors or the scenery, it’s a spot worth discovering.

Thinking they were open later, we came in minutes before closing —fully expecting to be turned away—but instead, we were welcomed in with nothing but kindness and genuine hospitality. Server Rob didn’t rush us, didn’t make us feel like an inconvenience—in fact, both he and the Chef insisted that we stay while they treated us with the same warm, attentive service you’d expect during peak hours. Chef Rob offered to make us off-menu dishes just for us to try, a perfectly executed salmon dish and a rich, creamy risotto. Both were so tasty and beautifully presented. It’s clear that this chef has a remarkable gift and a deep understanding of food. The wine list is nothing short of spectacular—thoughtfully curated, diverse, and clearly assembled by someone with a true passion for wine. What a wonderful place to relax and unwind while also taking in the incredible views of the Sound. This place is a gem!
