Down home southern cooking. One meat, two sides and one drink for $11.99. Dessert and salad are extra. Bring cash or pay the fees for debit or credit cards. This is a cafeteria style restaurant. I really enjoyed the fried chicken and sweet potato casserole. I recommend this restaurant.

Stopped in to “support local.” A disappointing experience. Waited more than 45 minutes for simple breakfasts-eggs/bacon/grits/hash browns and toast and a waffle with a side of ham (deli meat). When it arrived the food was barely warm. We had to ask for butter and syrup, but neither breakfast was warm enough to melt the butter. The water and the coffee were good. It appeared there were several issues today. The table behind us up and left before receiving their food. The other table that ordered had their orders changed. There seems to be an issue with the kitchen. There was one server, one cook and a lady that appeared to be the owner or manager as she followed the group that left before receiving their food out onto the parking lot and was talking and gesturing very animatedly to them. It would have been nice if our server would have kept us updated as to why our food was taking so long. The air conditioning was barely on and it got extremely uncomfortable in the restaurant. We also waited an inordinate amount of time for the bill, and when we paid we did not get an itemized bill, just a dollar figure which seemed a little high, but rather than argue we just wanted to get out there. The bathrooms were a redeeming feature. I’m not sure how long they have been open under this new name, but we definitely will not be back. We suggest playing the “Restaurant Game App” where the staff are responsible to keep the customers satisfied – it just might help! I would only recommend here if you are not in a hurry.
I don’t usually post scathing reviews, but I feel this is an honest and fair assessment of our experience today (May 9 2024).

The name changed to “Cafe on Main”. The place is basically a nice relaxing 4 sitter small, almost medium sizes table restaurant, the people mostly keep to themselves, although you get the feeling like you can talk to other people at other tables as an option, so it is both inverted and extroverted, depending on what you are most comfortable doing, the service was great, the waitress was very respectful and hard working, very understanding, the cooks, although you don’t see them, tried their best to make the order of what you prefer, as hard dedicated workers, as the food came out fantastic, the service was great, the environment was relaxing, you leave your dishes at the table, pay at the counter when you are finished, the overall experience was fun and relaxing, of course, I ate with manners, so I don’t know if it is eat with manners place or a free for all eat the way you like place, leave that to more reviews to answer that question. Overall, a good place to come to eat that has healthy soy-free food with moderate paced service, for a good deal, when you don’t feel like making breakfast or lunch. 5 stars in my personal view.

I got a club sandwich and it was awful the bread which was toasted was so soggy and the tomato was rotten. Sandwich tasted awful. It was a very big waste of money. Also got the onion rings they were very greasey and awful. Won’t be going back. If I could give it a half star I would. Only because the cashier was very friendly.

First visit. Nice and clean. Friendly and attentive staff. Good country cooking. Reasonably priced. Will certainly eat here when in the area.
