Food was actually good! The beef stew (Galbi Jjim) was well seasoned. I ordered spicy one and it came with carrots. If you cannot handle Buldak Ramen, I suggest not to order the really spicy one. The carrots were not cooked together with the stew which was fine because it had a better texture.
For the price and the amount of beef included (a lot), I think it was not too bad.
Rice could be better but when you pour the stew over the rice, it did not matter.
Their kimchie was also good. It almost tasted like they were stir fried.
I did not see any staffing issue.

Located in the food court of H Mart Pearl City, stopped by for lunch while running errands since I had a craving for Korean food.
Theres several places to eat here and also a bakery. Open seating, everything clean and bright. Gaon is located in the far corner when you walk into the court.
Ordered the Ssam Bap Bulgogi Set, which comes on a sizzling platter, soup, rice and sides that is worth the $20. Order and pick your food up once its called, self service so put the tray back on the racks to the side of the counter when you are done.
Food hit the spot, exactly what I wanted. Great place to eat Korean food when you dont want to drive far or deal with the crowds….. Will definitely return 4 stars.

Good Korean soups/stew inside HMart. The bulgogi soup has been our top choice with the strong flavorful broth and tender meat. Great portion sizes and plenty of sides. The dishes come out piping hot so be careful not to burn yourself.

I felt uneasy… I don’t see any Korean staff…
“It should be fine, right?” I told myself.
After all, this is the first Korean food we’ve had in five days of traveling—anything should taste good at this point.
But then…
The sundubu arrives—with no egg.
The flavor is just straight seasoning, nothing else.
It’s supposed to be beef sundubu, but the meat smells off.
We ordered mul naengmyeon.
There are two pieces of radish and half an egg as garnish.
The menu picture clearly showed cucumbers and sliced beef—none of that is there.
Honestly, it tastes like they bought packaged arrowroot noodles from H Mart, boiled them, and poured in one packet of cold noodle broth.
It just feels like a waste of money.

Big Fish Dive Club
This place is the best eatery in this food court. You get sufficient amount of food for your dollars and the two dishes we tried were both decent: pork belly set meal and the bulgogi hotpot.

Even though you may get discouraged to order by unfriendly staff, try it because it actually taste good . lol

-Service 3 they just don’t care , but they got my order right! And that’s important to me. actually most of the workers in h-mart are not friendly anyways….including other restaurants
-Atmosphere 3 food court with no view or greenery but got bathroom! the AC is really cold so my hot steaming soup was perfect to eat . Or you need jacket
I got a #2 tofu soup and I chose seafood topping. I was gonna order beef but I wanted to know what kind of seafood was inside.
So the seafood was just a lot of clams and some squid.
I just love how it comes out of kitchen, Sizzling and stayed hot until I finished all.
It looks really spicy but it’s not! It’s mild and very flavorful soup.
If you like tofu, try it

Yes there last night around 6:25pm for dinner. There was no one at the front counter. Went to the kitchen door and said hello loudly a few times, the girl was busy on her phone and didn’t respond to me at all. I tried yelling louder a few times saying Hello, still no response as she was so focused on her phone at the door. Eventually, got angry, I knocked to tap on the kitchen door so came out and gave me a face like “gee, why did you have to do that”. I ordered my food, she skipped the tip part while I was paying using credit card. I asked her are you closing soon? She said yes, this was around 6:30-6:35pm. I went to order a coffee from the same food court a, I asked what time the food court closed and she said their place at 7 and the rest should be 8. Well, why did she say almost closing when it was only 6:30-6:35. Anyhow, with that service definitely not going back again even if the food was good. The service was horrible, you shouldn’t be so focused on your phone and not pay attention for the front Incase there are customers who are wanting to order food.
