Went there the first time and the food was excellent! So my wife and parents just left today and the service was awful! No refills, no chips and my wife order 2 gorditas 1 chicharon and 1 tinga. We’ll they gave her 2 chicharron without telling her they were out of tinga ( which she really wanted) and when my wife told the waitress about it, waitress turned around and ignored her… I guess the drive from Hinesville to this place won’t be happening anymore because of the terrible service. Food for thought… my mom is the only one that would force me to eat what she said to eat not the restaurant staff, ask if your out of something and see if the customer would like a substitute. Thank you and hopefully other customers get what my family didn’t receive. Attention and warmth like the first time!

If your from the west coast (Cali specifically for me) and have been trying to find mexican food that tastes like home. This is it! The moment I saw the burrito with fries on the menu I already knew I had found my new spot. I got carnitas on the gigante burrito and it was awesome, great flavor. Im a huge rice and beans girls and these smacked. The chicharrones were not to crunchy, and great flavor. The churros remind me of the fresh ones I used to get on the carts during the Monday sale back home. Won’t eat mexican anywhere else in town! My kids got Asada tacos and ate all of it so that’s always a good review.

Amazing food. so fresh !! Hard working and friendly!! Highly recommend!!! Can’t say enough. Update 11/29/23…we loved the breakfast so much we wanted to try the dinner menu, and let me say it did not disappoint. The pork and pineapple tacos were my favorite and probably the best taco in town, in my opinion. The Texas nachos were loaded with shrimp, chicken, steak , onions and peppers covered in queso. The burrito was huge and loaded. This place is a hidden gem, if you have not tried I highly recommend it.

Delicious!! Fernando is a gracious host, served us two days in a row for lunch and then breakfast. Both fantastic, tasty, generous healthy portions and authentic. Really enjoyed the energy and vibe of the cafe, it’s always busy but not crowded, pleasant with enough space to have conversations whilst enjoying food. Prices are well balanced with food quantity. We will make sure to come again when we visit family.

My family went there for the first time today. The food and service were amazing, but it is a gas station eatery. So, the atmosphere is a little less than a “standard” Mexican restaurant. I can not say enough about the flavors and taste of everything. We will most definitely be going back.

I was looking for a new place to go when I was in town for my VA appointments, and La Casita is it. This is your simple hole-in-the-wall place with something for everyone. The staff is super friendly, and there is plenty of seating. I tried the breakfast fare this time; next time, it will be lunch.
I ordered the breakfast fajitas with steak and asked for jalapenos instead of peppers. While I waited for my food, the young man asked me if I wanted chips and salsa. Who can turn that down? The salsa had a unique flavor that I just couldn’t pinpoint. Don’t get me wrong; it was delicious, one of the better ones I have ever had. My breakfast came on and looked amazing. Tortilla comes on the side, and the whole meal was very flavorful.
P.S. Make sure you ask for their homemade hot sauce.
I am looking forward to my next stop in to La Casita.

La Casita is truly a hidden gem in Statesboro. You should definitely find time to go eat lunch or even breakfast at this yummy spot! My whole family loves the food and the friendly service. We have decided to make this our Sunday brunch go to! I love the Torta and my hubby gets Tacos al pastor. Everything is great that we have tried so far!

On Saturday, June 8, 2024, my wife and I were near Savannah,,GA.and since I had not seen my friend, Lyndy Brannen in a long time, I called him and he suggested we get together and meet for breakfast at La Casita Cafe on Burkhalter Rd around the Brooklet/Staresboro area.
So we met there.

Very nice!
Next to a convenience store, with easy access and plenty of good parking.
Looks nice.
Nice atmosphere,
Excellent service.
Excellent food and presentation!

Lyndy suggested the Mexican Omelet, loaded. So I got that. And Lyndy did, too.

My wife got the Scrambled Huevos Mexicanos.
My wife liked her food and I liked nine. The restaurant manager was happy to take our photo together while there.

We will go eat there again when we return to that area!
I highly recommend them for any meal…breakfast, lunch, dinner!
