Great place! This our 2nd time at the restaurant. It is definitely worth the 30 minute drive. Our server Eric was great – pleasant and welcoming.
The chicken was so tender and the seasoning was just right. It reminded me of the state fair food. My husband says his omelet was awesome.

I went to OI South Pancake House and ordered the tri fit trainer along with the German pancakes. Everything was very, very delicious. The pancakes especially were fluffy, rich, and absolutely worth it. The service was okay, friendly but very country style. Lots of boomer vibes in the best and most predictable way. Overall, great food and a solid spot if you are hungry and not in a rush. I would definitely come back for the pancakes alone. This place is 24hrs.

I’m so happy I stopped in here instead of going to the IHOP down the street. The aesthetic is vintage, and the chairs remind me of my grandparents house. Such a warm and homey atmosphere — perfect for a comfort food eatery.

The omelette was piping hot and very generously portioned. But the standout was the pumpkin pancakes, drizzled with a lemon glaze.

Kitty was an exceptional server, personable, attentive and eager to please.

I recommend this spot highly!

We had an amazing experience at Ol’ South Pancake House! We come here every year The food was fantastic, everything came out hot and fresh, I got the gigantic German pancake, it was delicious! and the atmosphere was exactly what you want from a classic, welcoming spot. What truly stood out, though, was our waitress Venessa. She was incredibly sweet, kind, and attentive from the moment we sat down. She checked on us often, made sure everything was perfect, and did it all with such a genuine, friendly attitude that made the whole meal even better.
You can tell she truly cares about her customers, and that kind of service makes a huge difference. It turned a great meal into a memorable experience. We’ll absolutely be coming back, and we hope to have Venessa as our server again. Highly recommend Ol’ South Pancake House to anyone looking for great food and even better service!

Quaint, folksy diner close to the medical district and TCU. It’s open pretty much all the time, food is good, diner type dishes and sandwiches. Can’t comment on the German pancakes as I’m not a fan of lemon but also found it interesting they advertise a Goulash special on the table. It’s clean and lots of parking. That checks off all my boxes!

After all that kayaking, it was time for us to get out grub on. The Ol South Pancakehouse 62 was recommended to us. When we arrived the parking lot was plumb full as well as the restaurant. We were promptly greeted by the hostesses Ms. Suzie with, a big smile and a “hello my love”, and asked booth or table. She is truly awesome. Our server was Ms. Nayela, with a quick smile, and warm greeting. She served us our water, and a cup of coffee. We started with the Tater Kegs stuffed with cheese. My wife had the classic senior breakfast w/slice of bacon, and English muffin for $7.99, I had senior crispy chicken breast with two sides mashed potatoes with gravy and Mac and cheese for $8.99, and my daughter the grilled chicken club sandwich with krincle fries $11.99. We also had one apple, pecan and strawberry mini pies @$5.99 each. This was the first time here and this restaurant ran like a well oiled machine. Every staff member working here appear to live their job and it showed in their face. For an older established restaurant it was very clean, neat and well organized. I don’t know when I will visit again since I am rarely on this side of town. Please come and visit them.

It’s like walking into a time capsule. The restaurant gives you the old time feel.
The staff were super friendly. Our waitress was pretty attentive for its being so busy.
The was came out hot and in a reasonable time.
Most definitely stop in and give it a try. A must order is the Dutch baby.

We ate here on Sunday, Dec 7th and waiting was not bad when we walked in. We got greeted right away when they sat us. Once we placed our order we waited for our Belgian waffle, ham omelet and short stack and hashbrowns for 40 min when it finally came out it was barely warm. I understand it’s busy but not even the butter melted on the pancakes. Server came out with my husbands hashbrowns and said his waffle was still cooking. When he got it, the blueberries weren’t mixed in together and the butter didn’t melt . I asked immediately for fresh pancakes and said I can deal with the warm omelette. They came out pipping hot my poor husband didn’t say anything about his waffle he just ate it. When she brought out syrup there was barely any in it to cover his waffle. What a disappointment and I really wanted a hot meal

Great place for breakfast. First time there, they are open 24hours. Haven’t tried anything else but breakfast. Service was great, food was hot and served in a timely manner especially with the amount of customers. It does get packed but the lines move in and out. We were there on a Sunday. Will definitely be back. EGGS BENNIES, we’re good portion. Wife and I split one, their Jalapeño Cheese Sausage was . Their Tater Keggers is a must when dining there. Thank you Ol’ South Pancake House FW, TX
