I live out of town and wanted a cookie cake sent to my son for his birthday. I called a couple of vegan bakery in Redlands and they were not able to do it. Then I called this place, and Mary Answered. I told her that I wanted a cookie cake for my son‘s birthday. And even though she makes small cookies, she was willing to accommodate my request. Then I ask Mary whether she has balloons. Her answer was no, but she “can pick some up and added to the invoice.” That respond alone was enough to tell me the kind of person she is…loving, caring, live to serve and putting others first. Her prices was so reasonable. Even though I tipped her, I feel like it was not enough for her service.
Mary went out of her way to accommodate me by making a full vegan 10 inch cookie cake for my son, added writings on it as requested, bought balloons, and delivered them to my with another small treat inside the bag.
Mary went above and beyond and exceeded my expectations. My son was so pleased With everything he received.
Thank you so much Mary for your service. I will be ordering from you again and again because you care!!❤️

Ugly Oats is a gem of a bakery right here in Redlands! The frosted and sprinkle cookies are my favorites and really take me back to the cookies I adored as a kid. We’ve ordered various cakes and SOOO good – seriously, no one will even know or care it’s vegan. We’ve also appreciated meeting the kind individuals running Ugly Oats and learning more about the creative process that go into making these goodies. Some of the ingredients take hours of preparation/mixing/cooling etc. to get just right. Ordering online is also piece of cake and delivery offered for small fee or even free with minimum purchase. Mary has really perfected and continues to expand her craft. We are so grateful for her and her team’s talent and passion for vegan baking and community.

Amazing vegan cookies! The size is perfect, and the flavor and texture are spot on—just the right balance of gooey and crispy in every bite. They also make a wonderful gift to bring to a friend or special occasion. So glad Redlands has this gem!
I would have taken a picture of the cookies outside of the package, but they were devoured within minutes ☺️

I ordered a custom dozen as well as their frosted foster kitties. They were all so good! Honestly, the best vegan cookies I have had here in California. My favorite were the frosted foster kitties and cosmic cookies, but you can’t go wrong with anything you order as the rest of the cookies were all extremely tasty! I will definitely be ordering again. Also, ordering and pick up was so easy and convenient. The packaging also had the ingredients on it which is super helpful for those who have any specific allergies and made it easy to share with friends.

Amazing cookies!!! It’s so hard to choose my favorite so don’t make me!
oatmeal chocolate chip-YUM!
oatmeal raisin-YUM!
peanut butter-YUM!
peanut butter chocolate-YUM! This one is unique because it is a chocolate cookie with a peanut butter cup filling that is soft and gooey. So I give this one an extra YUM!
snickerdoodle-YUM!
maple pecan-YUM!
pumpkin sandwich cookie with a vegan cream filling-YUM!
I plan on trying the other flavors soon and I am positive I will enjoy them immensely. I actually like these cookies better than other non-vegan cookies I have tried.

Honestly the best cookies I’ve ever had vegan or otherwise. She also does cakes which are phenomenal. But by far The Shining star is customer service, Mary is incredibly kind and accommodating, she was able to get my order in on very short notice.
Highly recommend the m&m and sprinkle cookies. Mary also changes treats with the seasons so I cannot wait for the Fall lineup of of desserts!!
