I had far from the best dining experience with Game Creek, but they made up for every short-coming and then some. I have never had a restaurant so generously compensate me for issues as Game Creek did tonight.
As importantly, the food was amazing. We had the four course tasting menu with wine pairings and we were particularly impressed with our sommelier for the night, Rieff. He not only topped off wines and made sure we were enjoying everything, but he also got our food to come out on time or made sure to bring it out himself when service was off.
Some of our service could have been better and some food initially came out cold, but as I said, the food alone is worth any slowness in service, and they were the most apologetic, and attentive sommelier and management I could ever have asked for.
Will definitely return.

Amazing food and service and surprisingly large eating area. The snow gondola and snow cat ride up to the top of Vail were so picturesque and scenic – very nice touch to start off the night. Overall, it was pricey…but in Vail, what isn’t?

The staff was amazing. The atmosphere is calm and relaxing. The food is SO delicious. Its totally worth watching the sunset while riding the gondola up to the mountain top for dinner.
