With the Mexican and Italian restaurants closing within days of each other, our daily went to the Black Kettle based on some local recommendations. About half the restaurant is a bar, and half is a dining area, so that is good for families. Pretty much evenly we tried was good, from the pulled pork, the burger, fries (regular and sweet potato) and kids chicken tenders and grilled cheese. Prices are reasonable, service was good and seems like good daily specials. Definitely will be back.

Great local eatery. Friendly staff. This is not fast food so plan to stick around and chat. Still was in and out within an hour. Food was great! Again, not a gourmet burger. Above average local pub food. Fries were great. Cup of chili was amazing. Only improvement I would recommend….get a open fire grill for the burgers….would make the burgers super amazing. Definitely my new go to plenty of televisions to watch sports or news.

This was the perfect place to rest and refuel after a long day at the antique mall. The service was friendly, the booths were comfy, and the burgers were fantastic! We were famished so we started with a basket of onion straws with southwest sauce while we waited for our meals. Delicious! We tried the Jack Daniels mushroom swiss burger (the mushrooms were like candy!) and the Southwest burger. Both were cooked to order, and had a nice char on them. The fries were crispy and hot. Overall, a great meal.

Monday all you can eat wings are a score! Great sauce choice. Great atmosphere at night. It’s not rowdy, but good conversations. Meet a lot of locals. Definitely a nice small town bar and restaurant. I’d recommend it for a try. The food is good overall and the bartenders are always friendly.
P.s. they changed their fries. They are thicker and better.

Stopped in for lunch today while on a bike ride. Appreciated that the bartender/server allowed me try bring in my bicycle as I forgot my lock at home.
The special of the day were sliders. I ordered two doubles with fries. Very, very tasty and filling.
They have 4 large TV’s at the bar…Which is nice when you want to watch the news or sports while eating.

Went in once while no one was there. The menu has more incorrect items than the servers can even remember. Ordered a side salad, but got about a half pound of cheese with a handful of lettuce.
The second time, brought my kids, once again, we were one of the only people being served food. So I ask for 10 wings and a side salad.
My side salad was LITERALLY the chopped lettuce and diced tomatoes from the day before (taco Tuesday), and literally about a handful of lettuce. No croutons or any normal things you see on a salad. Just a tiny handful of old lettuce and about 7 mini diced tomato chunks for tacos. The wings were so overcooked the bones were black.
This used to be a great place to eat, but after this second time, NEVER AGAIN.

Use to be really good. Ordered my steak medium rare. Got well done. Course cook was to busy messing around with friends in the bar to keep an eye on a steak in the kitchen. Had a sign on door, need cook and bartender. USE to be good.

Enjoyed the Bucky burger. Hamburger is done on a grill, giving it that wonderful grilled taste.the hamburger also comes from a local meat company. You can really taste the difference. Clean. Good restroom. Wonderful friendly staff.

Had the Jack Daniels Mushroom Swiss burger. Excellent. My wife had a sampler that was basically fried foods, cheese sticks, jalepeno poppers, etc. She wasn’t impressed. I’d stick to the burgers. Prime rib menu looked tempting. I’ll go back some time and try that.

Surprisingly good steaks. I wish they would make their own french fries to match the quality of the steaks, but the frozen fries are worse than McDonald’s.The shrimp used to be very good, but it seems they have changed suppliers because now the shrimp are below average.
