Please do not go here. I stopped for a late night snack hoping for a good service unfortunately I was met with one of the most nasty attitude driven women. I’m not one to degrade people, but please if you want good food and you value your time. Take it down the street

Wow, what a disappointment. I visit Haverstraw often to see family and love discovering Dominican-owned establishments in the neighborhood. Being Dominican myself, it’s always a joy to support my community, and while NYC has great options, the Dominican food here (highly recommend Los Amigos) has always been exceptional.
In preparation for Thanksgiving, I decided to order empanadas for my family to snack on and thought I’d give this place a try. I called to place a pickup order, and the person who answered asked me to wait while she finished making a smoothie for another customer. No problem—I understand how busy it can get. When she was ready, I started placing my order.
However, as I asked a few questions about the ingredients and decided on the last two empanadas, the tone of the conversation shifted. She began raising her voice and sounding impatient, almost yelling at me. Then she abruptly told me to call back later because another customer was waiting to order. I insisted on finishing my order since I had already waited, which she reluctantly allowed.
When I arrived to pick up my order, I was shocked by the poor presentation. The empanadas, wrapped in foil, looked underwhelming, unappetizing, and almost undercooked. I asked for extra foil to better cover the pan, and she seemed visibly annoyed by my request. As I was leaving, I said, “Thank you,” but instead of acknowledging me, she simply turned her back and walked away.
I was blown away by the lack of customer service and the laziness in the food presentation. With just a little extra effort and kindness, they could have gained a loyal customer. Unfortunately, this experience was a complete letdown, and I won’t be returning.

Fue para allá a comprar empanadas hoy noviembre 16 a las 9:30 y la chica del lugar tenía la puerta laqueada y me dijo que estaban cerrados en donde revise por la página de google y decía que cerraban a las 11PM, mi entender es que si cierran más temprano por favor de cambiar las horas en google así uno no da esos viajes tan largos( gracias a Dios que fui a la otra location y la chica que me atendió fue súper amable y atenta.)
