What a cute, cozy little oasis tucked right in the middle of a parking lot. Hatfield’s Hideaway is attached to a salon but feels like its own little retreat. There are sunshades overhead to keep things cool, plus fans in the corners for airflow. It’s small but thoughtfully laid out, with bar stools, comfy chairs, and tucked-away nooks.
The drink and wine menu is small, but they’ve made it easy to explore with a QR code for the full list. The Frozé seemed to be especially popular with other guests. We went on a Sunday after the Halifax Art Festival, ordered a bottle of wine, and played cards while enjoying the chic background music and laid-back vibe.
The staff was friendly and attentive, and the whole experience felt relaxing and a little unexpected given its location. Definitely a great spot for a drink or two when you want something low-key and stylish.
