A wonderful little place to grab some food and drinks and watch people navigate the treacheries of the chute! The food was good, the shrimps were huge, well seasoned with a thin flaky batter, the fries large and ready for dipping (though my dish did not come with sauces). I docked a few points for the pricing and while I get this is a premium location directly at the tube chute that will probably attract a lot of business I don’t think $15 shrimp baskets and even more egregiously were the $7 shiners in a can. A CAN FOR $7?!?! Pretty small selection of everything but it is still technically the off season I guess

I didn’t realize The Shrimp Haus at the Float In was open. The location is the best spot on the Comal River.. right at the city tube chute. Trace grilled up some jumbo shrimp and it was delicious. He’s a young chef who puts passion into his cooking. Great atmosphere and great food!

The Funnel Cake Fries are the ABSOLUTE BEST!!! I also ordered the Haus Boil…..my only complaint is that the potatoes were not boiled long enough in my opinion and the garlic butter tasted odd. (I prefer my boiled shrimp to be in shell, but the flavor was still really goo)

As a local I have tried about everything on the menu and have never been dissatisfied. The Shrimp Haus team go above and beyond to ensure quality. My favorite item on the menu has to be the calamari. It’s perfect river food with a beautiful view, highly recommend!

My family and I went to have drinks and our service was fabulous. The Double J Bartenders our on top of their game. Always making sure that we had drinks in our hand. I would definitely recommend The Shrimp Haus along with the Double J Bartenders!!

Ordered via DOOR Dash. We order the crab boil and the shrimp boil. The portions were small for the price and there was no flavoring on anything. It did arrive hot, which is great for Door Dash, and was packaged nicely. Just need more seasoning please! We didn’t eat there but I’ve seen the outside and it looks cute and fun to eat there.
