Can you say “hidden gem”?! This new cafe in Olean is incredible. The coffee is super yummy, and the focaccia bread is mouth-wateringly delicious.
The staff is so kind, helpful, and patient (because seriously—how am I supposed to choose from such an amazing menu?!). The vibe is just right—warm, welcoming, and comfortable. I could work here for hours, have a business meeting, or sit with my kids for a treat. It’s just a great space!
Did I mention the OUTDOOR SEATING?! We are seriously lacking that around here, and The Hatch delivers—lots of seating on an awning-covered patio that’s perfect even on rainy days. Lunch and lattes outside? Count me in!
Don’t sleep on this place just because it’s on campus—it’s a must-visit!

The food is pretty good especially for people with specfic dietary needs. My students loved the gluten free brownies. And the staff are super sweet and kind. Highly recommend just by how great you’ll be treated there.
